    So,

Kudos time - put your hands up if you swapped out your silver for gold when the ratio was 32 or lower.

This was my long planned strategy and I didn't stick to it, and the GSR has since rocketed back to 38. Had a monster box I could have traded out for a 1/2kg of gold, but I got greedy and dreamt of a kilo.

I wondered where my monster box went? :)

Seriously, it was more fluke than anything. I wanted to be a little bit more liquid, and ended up holding the cash while the prices went plummet.

Sold out another 10 Kg Ag and 4 ounces gold to cover a trade that didn't eventuate.

So looking at buying on Sunday at the meet-up or ordering a shipment early next week.

I wanted to either sell some silver at $1500 per kg or trade for gold.

I didn't get greedy, I actually got lazy and was on auto pilot. I didn't keep up with all the log videos and news.

Now I have a renovation coming up, but I don't want to sell my silver. Guess I'll be going into more debt in the short term until it recovers.

I blame myself and laziness, coupled with going on holidays made me lose out the opportunity.

    Oh well.

Actually got lower than that traded my 150pcs 1966 50c in a local dealer for 1oz lunar rabbit and 1/2 oz kangaroo and $280 cash. Those who saw my threads know how much silver I sold on the "top", I sold a lot of my investment portion but since I cant guess the "bottom" I will just slowly creep in.

Much like Slam I got lazy and didn't buy or sell any silver during the 45-49 dollar range.

Overall haven't really lost or gained anything haha

....the plan was to swap 1oz kooks for 1oz gold starting at GSR 30. So close, yet so far. Patience is a virtue.

I actually haven't bought silver since $36/oz, and it was junk for about $34 (just checked the spreadsheet).

That was a fine trade. Just looked at W Davis' pricelist, to pull the same trade off today would be 201pcs going by the published buy/sell pricing.

Got into silver in the low 40s. So just holding now.

The question is, at what point to trade that gold back into silver?

The local dealer in brissy (everyone knows who) gives a better buy rate than W Davis. on 50c

Was going to swap a lot of silver for fiat but kept procrastinating. Nothing for it now but to ride out the correction and maybe do some buying.

I did a small swap yeah, had no idea what was going to happen on the 1st though. Beginners luck perhaps?

Tried and failed for a platinum swap @ 38:1 - would have tried gold but saw a few silver for gold threads already so thought I'd try and catch a different fish.
