So who went out and got them 2012 dragons @ dirt cheap prices thinking they could palm them off for > 75 bucks a pop ? Come on be honest ?

    - How many of you still got them (but want to sell)
    - How you planning to get rid of them
    - Did you manage to sell the ones you had and whats your tactic to get rid of the rest of them
    - What was the price range that you got for selling the dragons

I bought a 100 piece box never planning to keep them but to sell them ALL, 2 months later finally sent my last roll :D was an effort tho, not as easy as i thought  But ended up with a decent profit ... took two solid freaking months, thought it was going to be like the andean cats. i had to post to very obscure parts of the world that didn't have insurance (which kept my heart going until they finally arrived). Had to converse with people in german, dutch and all sorts of other language. Had to use google translate to understand their questions and had to use google translate to translate my english to their language.

    Was an experience :p

Share some of yours if you have any ... (doesn't have to be dragons but i thought thats what most people still want to sell)

OH and to add, i remember sellin to a fellow stacker here 2x1kg bars pamps, he pull'd up in his car right up close to this cafe in darling harbour, people all staring cause you not meant to park right in the middle of the foot path , we would shake hands do bit of small talk, id pull out my 2kg *stash* wrapped in white paper covered over with newspaper, he would take a quick look, ask "i trust their real", i would nod, hand over the certificates, id count the cash in the car, at the end we would nod at each other, say thanks and go our separate ways  You know who you are mate, was a good trade, I felt HARD , dam looked like full drug trade happening

I bought some dragons, bullion included but they aren't part of my want to sell stack so I'll post about the other ones :).

Keeping some proofs, 3 coin set and some bullion dragon 1oz silver.

    Just 1 gilded dragon.

When spot reaches $100 I will sell at spot.

Managed to sell my Typeset, Proofs, Colored Proofs & 4 coin rectangular set. The gilded, see above.

Higher than what they're fetching now ;)

Yeh but i was able to get it at about that price, what about the dealer that i bought it off (it wasn't Perth Mint , it was just a standard dealer), they must got it for around the range of $35 < X < $40 , otherwise for what i bought it for they would have made no margins ...

I only bought a few, some for my collection and some to put away for the kids. Have built up a strong relationship with my local post office staff over many years and was able to get close to wholesale :)
Absolutely love the "drug deal" story, amazed that the AFP didn't knock on your door later, classic, thanks for sharing!

Snake S1 is the second or third most sought after coin now so I think the demand will be strong next year.

Bought 200 when they came out. sold onsite for $80-85 a pcs when they were going for a hundred a pop. figured that better to sell the lot make some money to invest in other bullion and leave some in the plate for the next guy. The fact that they are selling for less than that just proves that karma is alive and well.

Some great sales made here

I bought at $46 bucks a pop when i got a tip from a good mate about the price, i knew that at $46 bucks they where good (was an investment where you would NEVER loose money, which in any case is rare), i pushed them out for 70 - 79 each through direct sales and through e-bay. I got the 70 - 79 after the fees so it wasn't bad though i lost some on shipping and insurance. In some cases I didn't specify insurance but got scared about sending without it after hearing some horror stories, plus some of the people i posed to couldn't speak english so i though sh*t better insure it to save the hassle. There where a few countries i couldn't post to with insurance but i posted to them anyway and just prayed that they would arrive.

All in all was very profitable i feel but nothing beats the andean cats i think ...

Yeh, hope my buyer sees this thread he probably be laughing too ... ;) Na AFP got better things to do then investigate a bum like me ...

I have 1 proof, coloured and gilded. Not sure when I'll sell them, maybe in a year or 2. Didn't touch the bullion, can't believe how much people were paying for them.

I learnt a valuable lesson though, preorder a shit-ton of snakes.
