    I think the people in the US should just start their own country within the country and let Ron Paul run it. Would not be long before most people were following this new government and the old one would just crumble due to lack of support/enforcement

    Yes, "not so" civil war is coming to the US. I heard a Ron Paul speech recently that pretty much said he is biding his time till after the collapse and plans to piece back the good bits. FWIW Ron Paul has no desire to rule/govern or command anyone, rather to empower, facilitate and most of all free IMHO :D

    War in Iran will be bullish for metals I think (smart bombs contain 100s of oz of silver) so the one who will facilitate that sooner is my guess.

    The last time a group of them went their own way to start their own country, the other half wouldn't let them. End result: a lot of dead people.

    good cop bad cop routine same thing happening here and pretty much anywhere else in the world. Good example is

    Carbon tax is ruining this; ruining that......
    Q. will you abolish it if you become PM?
    A. Uh no we cant


    Translation:
    Opposition: You introduce a new tax and i'll make a big deal out of it for a while so no matter who wins at next election can use the extra $ for whatever

    So next election probably voting independent; dont reallycare what his/her plans are; they must be better
