Hi, I think MtGox and Crypto-Trade have the highest BTC prices, but BTC-e has the lowest I've ever seen, but can't use their payment systems and cannot upload funds . Where can someone buy the cheapest possible BTC? I like the Coinbase interface, but it's 30 $ more expensive than BTC-e and they don't accept bank cards, nor PayPal... Coinjar is 60 $ more expensive at this time. Bitstamp too looks good, price about 28 $ above BTC-e price, but they seem to accept only WireTransfer (expensive!). WireTransfers are way too expensive... Some sites have lots of goodies, but the payment system doesn't work out for me. Others have the easiest payment systems, but the highest prices. Anywhere else cheaper and more accessible to buy BTC? Prices close to BTC-e would be good, but PayPal/card payment desired
Paypal/Credit card just won't fly anywhere. The possibility of someone doing a chargeback/opening a dispute is far too likely. BTC-e price is lower because it's harder to get money in. MtGox price is higher because it's harder to get money out.
Gosh, why do they make it so complicated? How can anyone get money into BTC-e? Can't see any western-type payments system. Theoretically it would be possible to get BTC into BTC-e, but it's almost impossible to buy that BTC elsewhere!
whats the best way to buy LiteCoins? by best i mean ease of buying anonymously as well as ease of getting funds uploaded to account, eg via cash deposit??
It's not even European, it's using all sorts of Russian systems. Some of those systems don't even work. They give errors. PayPal is not accepted there, too bad! CC either! But BTC-e sure has the most attractive prices and I'd like to try it out. Coinbase might accept credit card, but not sure. There seems to be an option for it. A problem is that the verification process of an account at a BTC-selling site is mega-sluggish: up to a week!
okay cool! so my question then is... where is the best place to buy bitcoins ito remaining anonymous, ease of uploading funds, etc??
Cheapest depends on being on the right exchange at the right time with funds available to use. Gox can get cheap very quickly. Smaller exchanges have delays and good prices in comparison to larger exchanges can be had.
Some exchanges take a week to verify your account. 3 days at best! Getting funds up securely is damn hard.
I used BitStamp as an entry point. They are in Slovenia, but they did what was printed on the tin, and accept bank transfers. Authorisation and ID can be a pain, but I suspect that is the same everywhere. OzForEx as a means of making the transfer has substantial cost benefits. Once you have converted your Fiat into BTC (their fees are up to 0.5%) you can then obviously move the BTCs to your own wallet or any other trading platform. Apropos, if you have BTC you want to stash, you can always leave them in the block chain. Just make sure that the wallet to which they were sent is permanently offlined and off any active PC; instate it and run it only when you want them. You are effectively storing them in a pocket universe; keep multiple copies of a paper key to getting them back in multiple secure locations. The only safe computer is one with no peripherals, enclosed in a locked hardened steel box and a Tempest-grade screen with an additional foot of concrete around it, disconnected from the net and at the bottom of the Marianas Trench. But only if it is turned off. Paranoid much?
I managed a network for a client once. Not far off your description. Not completely there. But close!
