There has to be some reward for working hard, taking risks, not smoking or drinking, and not chasing women.
The question was what price would silver have to be in order to become debt free, not cover all your expected expenses until you die. The two are very different.
No, it's a potential liability not a debt. I say potential because you can still choose to break your lease before the lease period is up. In that case you are liable for the rent until it is rented out again, and potentially for any difference in rent if it's rented out again at a lower cost. In a tight rental market though, the chances of having to pay out rent for the year is pretty remote though. I do take your point about rent and debt though - it's just a different question to the original one being asked in the thread.
Brilliant, thanks for these statements. A perfect answer when i get the occasional pressure to sell and reduce the debt (which isn't that high in the scheme of things, i don't live in a capital city after all )
Price of Silver required to get me out of debt? Approx $0.02 Got to stop loading up that credit card...
$0.00 Debt free, 1 credit card I never use. A credit and banking class ought to be taught in high school. My parents never bothered to teach me the finer points in managing my money. For my benefit they did/do a horrible job managing their own. I don't mean to sound mean, but I learned from them.
Gee you guys must be rich. Is family considered as debt? The experts say $500 000 it will cost for each child to get through their schooling. I would say about $2000 - $3000 / ounce to cover my debts....
I dont have a family as yet, im about 8 years off from starting one, but this is another reason im stacking.. for future financial costs of children, marriage, bigger house, etc etc.
Mid thirties, say three kids in five years. That makes you over sixty by the time they're out of your hair... Think again...
