Climate change and the need for a strong feminist paradigm set against a dark world of impermanence and despair. Not the sort of art that I would have guessed you'd buy.
I was looking at a Ghillie Kettle http://www.ghillie-kettle.co.uk/ for a while, do iPhones even work out in the bush? To be honest if I was going to have a cup of tea and call my friends I would stay at home and do it, you kids don't know how to rough it.
She's certainly an extremely good artist. Very impressed. Paintings the size of those would certainly dominate the room though, so I presume your wife's a fan as well (I had to hang the Greg Postle I got from Naphth at work because my wife isn't into that sort of thing).
She's a fan, we've got Jonah's Choice hanging in our dining area at work, it is appreciated by a lot of our customers. Not sure whether I'll hang "Rising Tides" in the dining area though, maybe a little too distracting, might give the old fellas that dine here a bit of a filip though
I went straight to the Biolite site and bought directly from them. Superfast shipping. It turned up on tuesday.
My smartphone now replaces an mp3 player, camera & paperback novel. I download youtube videos, music videos, e-books etc. & watch them while away. Together with a hipflask & there are no more long boring nights. IF I'm lucky... i won't get any reception Problem is, If I'm camping away from the car (like the last 2 days) I haven't had a lightweight recharge system. The biolite will be a great addition to my kit.
The cheaper iPhone 5c has a Telstra blue tick, which means it gets country coverage. Incidentally, the more expensive 5s do not.
That's pretty much what I see too, well, I don't see them wrestling, more like as bordie suggested, one holding the other up as the tide rises, probably some feminist empowerment message but I don't care. I'm a bloke and i appreciate visuals, it doesn't have to have any message or meaning for me to like it, if I want message or meaning I read a book, if I like what I see I gain pleasure from it.
All the way from Katmandu, via Bangkok, Singapore and Brisbane. Relax, I am not a gear-queer knife fetishist. It's just you get a discount if you buy five at a time. These are the only knives I own and they still have their packing oil on them because they are going straight back into the scabbards to be wrapped up as presents. The two on the bottom are standard military issue to the Gurkhas, one is going to my brother-in-law for his camping trips, the other is to a mate (who may know a little too much about bench tests on LED torches etc.) The smaller one above is going to his son to help with the Zombie Apocalypse, that kid watches way too much TV. The longer thinner one in the middle is a light weight version my wife could take hiking if she ever left the house. Lastly the one on the top is mine! It is in its 'raw' form so is unpolished (polishing affects the hardness by over heating the blade) and will be ideal for chopping up and disposing of the bodies of the prostitutes. And camping.
I got one of these. I don't think its going to be much good during the Zombie Apocalypse unless they need some letters opened.
Do you happen to know where in Kathmandu they came from? I will be there in a week and would be up for posting some back home for myself. I am sure there are lots of places there that offer them, but its always best to go somewhere that is recommended
I got them from http://www.thekhukurihouse.com/ who apparently have the contract for the British Military this year. You can head to their showroom http://www.thekhukurihouse.com/Content/visiting_KHHI/ I wouldn't say they were collectors knives, they are solid and well made and will do the job. They are not the sort to hang on the wall and look pretty. They are hand made not mass produced so they are not perfect, but they have character
Well I got Volume 3 at home! Queensland Central and Southern Districts, not in mint condition though, mine is full of highlighted areas and underlinings
