Today I picked up six oz of silver on my way home from Telluride. A 1985 mexican libertad, a 2017 maple leaf in a capsule, a 1984 engelhard prospector round with the big E on the reverse, a "dont tread on me" Boston tea party round, a happy valentine's bar from 86 and another random bar with a stagecoach on it. Just a small conversion from fiat and add to the savings slowly but surely. Supply has been a little thin at the shops I go to so I've made it a habit to stop and check on my way through. I try to buy what I can and stay consistent. I like the oddball and random weird stuff sometimes haha. It keeps it interesting!
Just the 1 onza for the Libertads. I only have 4 or 5 of them but I love those things. The mexican artwork is just plain awesome and I wish I came across more of them. Beautiful coins. My others are all the same, 1 ouncers too. I've never come across the other sizes but I've seen them online.
I didn't know that? Mine are all 1 ounce. I first bought a few libertads off SilverPete. I liked them so much I then went and bought a bunch from elsewhere. All 1 ounce though.
No doubt the gold to silver ratio will narrow further especially if inflation eventually comes, but silver is really volatile, takes courage.
I was wondering who have cause this sudden Dive. That's explain it now. Thank you Makes this purchased Cheaper. 200 x 100 oz.
I picked up 5 more Peace dollars today but nothing more, traveling for work. Waiting to go to my usual bullion guy the other direction my next day off. Hes a little cheaper and more geared towards turnover so I spend more with him. The Peace dollars are mostly culls and one has a dent in the rim. It may have been in a gangster's pocket in 1926 when he was thrown from a bridge. Who knows. They are my worst 5 silver dollars I'd say but they are my babies and I lovem. My other guy might get a thousand from me if he has some stock or even a quarter oz of gold mixed in is fine. I'm easy either way. It's such an awesome savings for me and works so well. Cash would be gone so so easy.
