Do you define an ETF/papersilver 'player' as a longterm stacker or so? I don't. I assume you don't too. Then, how do you then explain IShares Silver Trust during march and april 2011? Over those meager 2 months, their reported stock increased from 11000 tonnes (that's more than today) to a recordhigh of 18639 tonnes. That's almost a quarter billion ounces, and also a quarter of an entire annual world silver production. So, those "traders" that did their "trading thing" along silver Exchange Traded Funds, paid the prices during those 2 months in 2011. From $32 all the way up to $50. Yet, you claim that none you knew were touching Silver in the 40s. So, statistically seen, there are only two explanations for this. 1) Either some of those traders you knew lied to you. 2) Either your "statistical sample" didn't reflect the "population". Maybe that wa's because you and those you knew were elite traders? That's no problem. That's fine. But using a non-representative sample in order to make a general statement traders versus longterm stackers?
He convinced me and had plenty of evidence to support his argument. Amen. I'm off to Trash Conerters or one of them shopping centre gold buyers. Prays tha lawd. I'm gett'n out while the gett'ns good. So Sayeth the man.
I love inane comments like that, and I especially love the inane thank yous. I give a fcuk, what's wrong with that? If you don't want to discuss it, so don't read it, don't post. Simple. I think it's an interesting point of view he has. It's why I hardly have any silver.
@sc, demand has steadily been rising this past decade, and it has been met each year, precisely by supply. More precisely, the demand for coins and medals has been increasing, industrial demand is down, so is photographic use, as is jewellery and silverware and implied net investment has seen an explosive growth these recent years, but it varies from year to year. There have been no shortages (apart from minting shortages), in fact, it is foreseeable that there will be no silver shortages for quite some time, those waiting for the silver price to rise due to a shortage of the precious metal will have to look elsewhere. Next point: Rawdog said that we won't experience hyperinflation because people do not have any money, people are losing their jobs, any money they have is spent on paying off debt or meeting the basic needs of survival. There is not enough excess cash to force hyperinflation. Bordsilver will have a go at this surely?
optionsxpress slv alert have been triggering a lot of bullish indicator confirmation... in the last couple of days... i guess we will see how the game plays out as time goes..
Be careful with such claims BB, that sort of talk on the protected species of SS gets you taking a forced holiday around these parts. Take it from someone who knows first hand mate.
We should all be glad to see investing in silver isn't really for everyone. It is never easy to hold and sit tight as it seems to be. The Rawdog is definitely not comfortable in investing in silver. If he thinks holding silver and it continues to go up to $10 every year. Then he should revise how market behaves. Up ,downs and flat are part of the game. Warren Buffett had been sitting tight in his 130 million ounce of physical silver for 10 years. he entered the market at $5.25/oz. For the entire 10 years, silver barely moves. That means as the most successful investor of all times never earn him any profit in his silver holding. 2 years later, silver hit $20 per ounce, then everyone chase after it. By 2011, we all know it hit all time high. Warren Buffett said I brought it very early and I sold it very early, other than that it was perfect. Is silver a good investment? Maybe the more appropriate question is " Are you a good investor?"
mmm shiney I think plenty of people here could offer plenty of FACTS to show how mis-informed you and this video bozo are. But, like me, won't because it's not worth the time. And you already demonstrated you don't really understand what you read. So it's not because people cannot prove you wrong, it's because they don't care.
