The CCP would love to have someone like you working for them. ;) You stick to the script. Though you messed up with the government debt story, though it did take you a very long time to figure it out.

Come on @leo25 , you're intelligent enough to work out that your argument fell apart when you started drifting into the speculative and personal.

I never got personal until you went that way and then I foolishly followed. And no my argument didn’t fall apart, it’s just you have a different view, which is fine. But you have a habit on these forums to start being a smart ass when someone has a different view from you.

Ok, we'll try it from this angle then if you think I was attacking you personally.

    1. Where is the proof that the West is better at propoganda? (I assume you're referring to China).
    2. What is the officially created government register that tells everyone "what is" or "what isn't"?
    3. And where is this register held?

What makes good propaganda is that most don’t know it’s BS. The reason China is bad at it is because everyone knows their government is full of BS. Where as most still believe in what western governments say. Thus the west is better at propaganda. This is also one of the reason I doubt China will ever be the new super power.

^ not proof, but anyway, so how does that prove the banks and other publicly listed companies are not privately owned?

Prove they are? Neither one of us will except what each has to offer as proof, so there is not point asking to do so. So let just write our ideas/thoughts without labelling something as stupid. If you don’t agree, just say you don’t agree or pass it over.

Anyway too much of this thread has been derailed. So let’s end this dribble.

Bullion Now live steam is on, so time to crack open a beer and hear Matt’s sweet voice.

I thought your idea was nutty. I was having a go at it, not you personally.

The problem with these arguments is that they start bleeding into philosophy and dare I say there can't be a consensus when arguing for the 'perfect' system due to subjectivity. It's always going to be flawed. As soon as you have laws and systems you will have hierarchies of dominance (therefore people feeling like there are winners, losers and power advantages/disadvantages). How do you communicate the benevolence of a system to the lowest common denominator? Scientific journal articles? Then you would have to assume everyone has a tertiary understanding. The perfect system doesn't exist. Propaganda is the most efficient form of communication in many circumstances. It reaches the most amount of people at the lowest and common levels of understanding. It facilitates consensus. Smart people can dig further, and as far as I can tell educated people in the West (unlike China for example) are encouraged to (maybe this part is at risk in the current culture wars). Can you formulate a society that has all winners and equals? Then you're arguing for a utopian communism. Can you even have a stable society without governance/enforcement limiting certain freedoms?
