Another oily on my radar for future consideration, even further down the track than SWE. 1.3c sp @ present. WHN, even larger resource (2-3b) than SWE. Most drilling looks to be in less than depth of 50m water. 25% Stake (farmed out 75% to Ophir Energy)
Whilst I wasn't expecting MRF to sell off as heavily as it did, given the result of the drill and with a number of more drilling results expected over the next few weeks, I'm not overly concerned yet.
Yeah I picked some ELD shares up at .11 a month or so ago. I'm quite keen to see how they go over time and you never know they may resemble some of their former glory. I think keeping the debt down in this type of business will be the key to improvement.
I'm quite new to stock trading but have been interested for a long time and I was wondering if there are any good web sites I could use for general information like we are currently talking about? or a course that can give me some experience before I learn from more of my own hard lessons. Presently I use hot copper and have a daily read of the bull, tend to stay away from the motley fool recommendations as they have a tendency to send me in the wrong direction for a lot of research for naught or a loss in funds. I've been researching into CZI which seems like a buy but with copper going the way it is I'm a little hesitant... any thoughts from others?
Not wishing to derail the thread but as well as hotcopper you can also check out: www.sharescene.com www.aussiestockforums.com
Just missed out on getting onboard with MRF Friday. One last minute bit of research before dabbling & within less than 10 mins, I'd lost the entry sp I'd decided to enter at. I was so pissed would've already been up & in the hunt damn it. Have decided now to put the cash I now have on topping up with TPT. I'm in a little heavy now anyway so may as well go in harder. No point being a hypocrite @ this stage....
Concerning MRF, still can't work out exactly what caused the post drill results drastic drop in sp? I did read that the result presentation was pathetic but still, why the drop? I'm considering jumping in but not sure now on @ what price.....
Fickle market that don't understand how vein graphite works. The company hit its targets, with good widths for vein graphite. Early days yet for this company
More sellers than buyers would be my guess. Perhaps all the people like you that expected the price to jump didn't see the jump happen so they dumped.
Maybe, but you can't blame people for wondering when the results just released were positive. I may jump in today yet....
Thanks for explanation Yes, company is very young & I didnt realise that as I am only now considering Graphite miners. Been reading though yesterday. I do think this company can go places.
Sp down on juniors as investors deliberately take Losses maybe? Last day of he financial year after all.....
The share price doesn't go up because positive results are released - it goes up because positive results cause more people to want to buy. If the good results were widely expected and a lot of holders have just bought in planning to sell higher on the good results then those potential sellers can outweigh the potential new buyers even if good results are released. Hence the very old saying: buy the rumour, sell the fact
Bit of an update. Still happy enough with for now. MRF is starting to head back in the right direction with further drilling results pending. I expect CXO to start gathering steam soon as well as more drilling results come in. ALA (+14.3%) CXO (-16.6%) RWD (+22.4%) TPT (+44.4%) RLE (0%) MRF (0%) TON - SOLD @ $0.55 today (ROI 25%)
Sorry to drag up an old thread, but anyone know what happened to TPT? Anyone ride that one off the cliff?
