Try Guardian Vaults. Mention Silver Stackers, and that you were recommended to them from sammysilver, and you'll get a free month's rental.

    Its happened Sammy:)
    I agree with you here.
I am buying the silver value NOT numi value.
Numi value can be hit or miss, yet spot value of the day is right there for everyone to see.
I am glad people finally stared coming out with their TRUE goals and intentions.
My 12k of silver ozt was looking to be an attention grabbing number until everyone else got onboard.
I still have 30 years to go but have already made a decent hole in this goal.
Just bare in mind that $300,000 odd we save now will have no where near the same spending power in the future.
So i shal be watching spot daily in years to come:)

I like the idea of striving for ~10,000 oz of silver for retirement....but that is predicated on the belief/hope that over the next 20 years or so the value of silver will trend towards its' historical norm. Although I doubt that a days worth of labour would ever again be the equivalent of 1/10th an ounce of silver (as it was during the Roman times after Nero) , I am hoping that will approach 1 oz . Thus, 10,000 troy ounces would provide one a comfortable nest egg for ~ 27 years (ie age 65 to 92).

    Cheers,
    Luker

Many financial experts also say we are looking good and the future is bright.
I put ZERO credence in anything ANY financial expert says or writes.
We really are only left with DYODD.
Most nave failed to call the past financial dramas, and those that did have been so very wrong on most of their other calls.

    Thank you so much Sammy!

I ve just had a chat with a lovely lady Joe I believe that was her name, she explained how it works and since its my day off I ll be taking all my silver there today.
She ll throw in a free insurance for up to 20K. Usually its 10K she said.
I wanted to send a picture of the stack I have but thats too much show off I guess :)

Well Thank you so much again as I was already interested in Guardian Vault and other choice was Custodian but Guardian provides a better service in terms of no appointments needed etc.

I ll keep you guys posted how I go today.

    All the best!

A good stack is one that grows without affecting your monthly financial obligations. As long as we can buy it for less than silver miners can break even for I would say that silver is hard to beat for investing in many regards. I still get remorse when I occasionaly buy gold thinking Ishould have gotten silver instead.

It's like asking what a decent bank savings amount is.
The more money / any property you have, the more stuff you get for it.
The best stack is the one bought at the lowest price, because it's then the biggest possible.

I think anything over 1/3 of a persons net worth (incl. PPOR) in silver is a large stack.
    I aim for between 10-20%

    I disagree.
This is not about "what we have " as far as i know.
I thought we were discussing want we want or think we will need.
If it was a pissing contest we would all be posting pictures and descriptions of what we actually have .
I have not seen any pissing yet:)

What's your idea of a decent bank account? Same way money is different I would assume a stack is different to everyone.

To me (26 year old with a mortgage) I'm happy if I can get 100ounces as paying down my mortgage is important. Also worth a mention, I'm not a SHTF believer, I'm a hobbiest.

I hear good rule of thumb is 10% of your net worth in PMs

In the olden days indeed it was.
Today almost every financial planner would recommend 0% allocation to PMs.

I think a reasonable stack target is 5-10% of net worth.

20% tops. Anything more is ignoring the necessity income producing wealth mindlessly. A lot of this depends on your age and circumstance and the tax regime you live under, do you have dependents you want to help after you are gone. It is not good to die worried for those you love. The young should focus on income producing investments and clearing debt not PMs beyond a few ounces of gold and a couple of kilos of silver...

SHTF and such is nonsense to sell army surplus to urbanite paranoiacs.

Well you need to buy a lot of onions and some salt butter long with some pork chops.

Heat a pan and melt the butter drop in the chops, chop the onions and drop them in when the chops are browning.

When the onions have started well, dump the can of beans over the whole lot and let it heat.

Serve with mashed potatoes with another dab of butter on them.
