You still haven't found your feet in this forum yet have you?

Time to post this again, from the forum's Terms and Conditions which we all agreed to abide by when we first signed up:

    https://www.silverstackers.com/forums/index.php?help/terms

If this forum is too woke for you, then maybe you should be filling in your time elsewhere?

And for those of us who do have a pretty grounded understanding about the history of robust debate v abuse and it's place on this forum, here's a blast from the past to show that even 13 years ago members were extolling the demise** of "free speech" here:

    https://www.silverstackers.com/forums/index.php?threads/future-of-general-discussion-forum.15454/

** is it that we were woke before woke even existed?

Hi all, a bit late for this, but did the syndicate idea ever make progress?
It looks like there may be enough interested parties to offer a good chance of this being a real possibility.
    Cheers

    It could be complicated. o_O

No doubt there would be legal requirements that the owners of the forum would be compelled to abide by, the big one I'm thinking in Oz would be the Racial Discrimination Act. Therefore it may be in the best interests of the owners to operate as a company with Directors or something similar should a party seek to take legal action against the joint owners of the forum. It would be messy if the owners were just a loose collection of interested parties no doubt ie where does the buck stop? And of course owning a company comes with extra compliance costs.

The asking price is far from excessive for one person to buy it. I'd suggest hitting him up on FB messenger if anyone is keen. And yes, I know as far as GP goes it's all about life's priorities and he's not been really good at following through with the sale but I'd just keep bugging him here: https://www.facebook.com/SilverStackers

I was curious about the sell price too but I haven't contacted him. Sounds much better than asphalt work hehe.
I'm no computer whiz tho and I don't have Facebook which might be a problem.
This is the best PM forum I've been on by far and a good group of people.

Selling price might be unknown, but here are some overheads any potential buyers may want to consider:

Good suggestion. I guess the question then becomes whether to go for shared hosting, vps, dedicated? Its a rabbit hole.....but a fun one to go down ;)

Would love to see this site become aussie owned.

For the record, were not a buyer. Too busy juggling myBullion as it is.
