Time for a positive thread title for this one considering... End of the trading week and this stock is up 30.5% from the Monday open. GLD up 4.75% and SLV up 13.08% respectively (USD).
My last buy was at 0.52c so ive nearly doubled..... The 'going down' thread WAS a positive thread title
With no history - history serving to put things in perspective. I don't agree with unilaterally starting a new thread on a stock just because the header is outdated. Anyone coming to the subject will think it's all we've had to say on it
It wasn't started because of the header being outdated. The OP in the previous thread was quite specific, related to a recent drop in the share price. If anything, it was going off-topic. Perhaps mods can merge if they deem necessary.
Happens all the time because someone want to discuss the topic de jour, then a discussion on the stock ensues over months, then someone else, usually a holder, decides he doesn't like the heading because it's negative or outdated and starts a new thread = months of continuity gone.
You make a good and valid point about continuity, Finicky. Hadn't considered that. Consider this thread closed. Back to the other one.
That's of you Greenman. Thanks. Just my opinion and I see one other. Looks evenly split atm. On a more frequented sub forum it doesn't matter, but here someone would have to searching for other postings to come across the old stuff on a stock.
Really wanted to sell the packet I bought at 77c yesterday/today and buy back in if it dips lower but I can't figure out how to do it. Etrade always sells the highest cost basis shares first and I really don't want to realise a loss on the SLR I bought at $1.90+... So for now I hold. With a market cap of $373million (as of today) and gold at $1500AU I honestly still think SLR is way undervalued. My only worry is that now they have reduced their all in cash cost to $1090 and ounce by mining lower cost ore and basically ceasing exploration; sooner or later it will have to go back up and probably higher than the previous $1206 cash cost as the lower cost ore will be gone.
Australian Taxation does it on a "first in first out" basis, so if your shares first in were 1.90 - thats what you will be taxed on - the brocker has no bearing whatso ever on your tax ather than the brockerage charges. I took some profits today, small but if it goes higher ill take a little more over this week
No as long as you have the records of dates and prices you purchased you can nominate which shares you are selling
