Thanks for that Chris, for a minute there I was thinking

maybe I should have kept my powder dry.

Anyway I'm happy with the deal and presumably the buyer is too.

I just noticed the PandaAmerica set is bullion only.

Anyway, still happy, I'll end up with a 1kg bar and maybe a 10 ouncer for an outlay

    less than a 20 ouncer.

    Mark.

    $895 for the Series 1 in bullion = $75 a coin.

I wish that I could have obtained a proof set like that for less than the regular one oz lunar price!I paid considerably more for the proof set I purchased.

I've got the series 1 set in 1oz proof except the 2002 horse, seems the horsie is attracting quite a bit of interest these days.

Series 1 proofs had a mintage of 2,500 compared with 5,000 in series 2 so I expect a premium on series 1 over series 2 in years to come.

Does series 2 have a 2oz proof? Only ever seen the 2oz proof with a 1,000 mintage in series 1.

Would seem the 2007 Pig and 2006 Dog attract the lowest premiums. Unpopular coin or because they are the latest release? Who knows I spose.

Prices vary largely from sell to sell. One oz poof pig sold $187 US few weeks ago.
That was the highest price for oz lunar proof I have ever seen sold on eBay auction.
