Poker Tournament for Silver

Now I am not promising anything as I am in the middle of moving and working some crazy hours, but hypothetically.....

If I (or someone else) was to organise a private tournament on Pokerstars, who would be in? To start, I was thinking something along the lines of a Round 50 or Pre Florin as the entry. If you get knocked out you agree to ship the coin to the winner (with 2nd keeping their silver). Something like that anyway. Thoughts?

Seems ok. I havent played on 888, always used pokerstars as it is the biggest and supposedly pretty secure etc. Do you think posting before hand to agreed party is necessary? Seems like it would add substantially to cost, and who will cover that? Will the entrants need to enclose an additional stamp or 2 maybe?

 

we have spoken about this at one of the adelaide meets and thought about each state having there own game then those who win play a game together as a final match? im always keen for a game

 

Maybe player pay for low premium 1oz at GS to 1 person...tgan 1 oerson to pick up and distribute it to the winners. Add $1 per oz for postage.

I feel really stupid all of a sudden. Just b4 I typed the post above I paid for the sweep and I didn't think to do it this way. Face palm

 

Gambling on silver or gambling with silver. Works either way for me. Consider my interest registered.

Depending on day and time though as i usually start work at stupid o'clock.

This could work, Alternatively, What are the chances GS or another site sponsor is happy to take the price of 1 ounce +$1 from each person, and then send it out themselves to the winner? Any additional shipping cost may just have to be paid for by the winner.

edit: just thinking things through in my head. We could all just pay $25 to a site sponsor, and the winner has that much in credit at that store? Whether they want to pickup if they are nearby, or take postage in to account is up to them. Depending on if dealers are happy with this, we could choose a sponsor from a different city each time.

Better hurry...Melbourne Cup is around the corner.

 

ME and XB would be in for a pokerstars tourny for silver.

 

So which dealer will volunteer? We would need to deposit somewhat early in the week, and then the dealer will need to post who has paid up in a thread. Winner can be posted in that same thread later on.

 

We are happy to be on board as a sponsor and player if allowed.
We will donate a 1/2oz proof monkey and 1/2oz proof rooster as an additional prize to winner.

Happy to be middle man for entrance fee too.
As long as the game is Texas holdem
