You are quite right. They are playing it by ear. Web orders are ONLY the back up for them. The 10-coin dragon set seems available from them, due to FEW demand out there
oh sorry didn't know well hope it is a good day !! seems all my work was in vain trying to talk these guys out of buying the lochness monster
NOT sure what are you talking about? I ordered red welsh from Talisman right after Perth Mint put it on sale on their web site, because the price was actually cheaper for me from Talisman, along with some other coins. NEVER saw my order, they have NO decency to even answer my email. Yes, the order is still sitting there under my account, what a joke. So this time I do NOT even bother. It is because of their empty promise, I missed the 1st coin in this series.
They have the first one available on their website now, but I bet it's a higher price than what you had it ordered at.
I just got off the phone with Bob from talismancoins. Long story short, he reassured me that my order WOULD be filled as soon as they received the coins themselves and that they DO NOT and WILL NOT cancel or fail to fill orders simply because a coin has appreciated in value. He did warn me that it could take anywhere from 3 weeks to a month and a half before I get the coins due to the nature of it being a pre-sale. Just words, but he sounded genuine. At least I know there is someone who will answer the phone. It does sound like it's just one guy though(or close to just 1 guy). He was very busy. The first time I called he took my number so he could call me back due to "the phone lighting up like a christmas tree". He did call me back 5 minutes later, like he said he would.
Yes, Bob! He is very friendly and helpful if he has the time to talk. They are and can be very busy hence the answering machine. That's why I say don't try calling Mondays and Fridays, especially when there are new releases.
Everyone knows these were commissioned by Coin Club right? Coin Club would most likely have the largest allocation and still has some available by the looks of things: http://www.coinclub.com.au/products...012-Chinese-Dragon-1oz-Silver-Proof-Coin.html
Looks like they have a great price on the Welsh dragon. They are placing a limit of 3 / customer. Only $300 each. http://www.coinclub.com.au/products...2-Red-Welsh-Dragon-1oz-Silver-Proof-Coin.html
Chinese dragons are back for sale on Perth Mint. There's still 300 coins left. It's Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 9:08:17 AM WST or in Canada Monday evening 9:08 pm Eastern time. I bought 3 coins, since there's no limit how many you can buy at the mint. Plus i get free shipping for orders over $300, and whenever i get free shipping i don't have to pay custom fees. So I'm happy with my purchased.
Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 9:17:54 AM WST Only 107 Chinese Dragons are available for purchase at Perth Mint.
