Just have a random question re the way the Swan is facing on a 1kg bar as in left or right Which is the correct way or does it may any difference Appreciate comments and thoughts Thanks
Pretty sure the left facing swan are on the earlier made bars before they switched logo to the right facing.
Thanks for your reply as that was my thinking also with the earlier style bar More of a collectors buy and hold a premium perhaps ?
Apparently the switch from left to right swan is surprisingly recent - in 2008 if I've understood correctly. It's really a darn shame that it seems quite impossible to resurrect the treasure trove of info that was lost when this site was overhauled.
Who is the silver King or Queen on this site that holds the fountain of knowledge re the Perth Mint bars
Yep, the left facing Swan is the older and right is newer Depending on the actual bar, some of the left facing carry a premium, but not a lot 2008 was also when the mint starting putting the "P" on all their coins too
Thanks for this info and in saying that what was the reason or rationale for swapping from left to right
This thread was about the 1 g certicards but I assume the same reply pretty much applies? https://www.silverstackers.com/foru...certicard-left-facing-swan.60875/#post-770456
Perth Bullion have those bars in stock too. I used to have one myself but it was 100oz - beautiful bar Probably $30-$40 more than standard PM bars in terms of value (1kg)
