I'm with you on this one, if I wanted a colour picture of a tiger I would buy a poster. Get a big one so you can see the detail. This does not apply to dragons of course, guys with posters of dragons on the walls seldom attract the ladies.
so if my adding up is correct people are going to pay several hundred dollars for a cardboard box? is this true?
Our friend BB has put up a listing already.... http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-23360-wtb-anda-dragon-box-coa.html
wonder if it will be the same coin with a diff box for each show? perth, sydney, melbourne etc... just looking at the one on ebay the very last line has perth 3-4 march so all they have to do is change the last line and the box can be used for each show, the way they are going london to a brick every show will be the 2 oz bullion coin with red paint up to 300 $ with 6 days to go. it has a proof coin in the add funny looking proof coin. taking bets on a final price for that nice box?
nah it wont be... i remember the tiger and the rabbit version still says "Perth Show Special" (or words that that effect) on it
does look like potential growth will low mintage and 59.50 more than the 1oz release of 10000 mintage
Hey was there an 2oz Ox or 2oz Mouse version ever produced? If you wanted to get the whole set or did it just start at the Tiger?
tiger was 1st as far as i know hey is everyone up late waiting to see what comes up on the PM website ?
Nope I'm up because there was beer in the fridge. Now it's all gone (F*** know's where) so now I'm off to bed
Yeah, I thought it was different to the regular 2oz. Wouldn't make sense to grade them. I just assumed that would happen as that's what normally happens. Dealers in the US might not get any - I was told that 'dealers' were getting an allocation and assumed they would be international as well as Australian. Already lining up and rumors are flying. Aparantly it will be 1 per person today not 2. I don't mind, at least I might get one if that happens. People from the mint and anda are now saying 'don't believe everything you hear' in terms of dealers getting any allocation - they might be trying to infer dealers aren't going to get an allocation. I'm not really sure what is going on but time will tell. If dealers start listing coins they got an allocation, if no dealers are selling these in a few weeks then they obviously didn't. One things for sure, nobody actually knows what's going on at the moment. I will reserve my anger until the facts become clear in relation to this dealer allocation business.
Just because in previous years it was only at the Perth show doesn't prevent Perth Mint from releasing multiple versions this year. They haven't published any rules or whatever stating that they won't. I bet there would be some pressure from ANDA to release similar coins at every other show - it would certainly boost their attendance fee take considerably in each city.
