for those who want a 2 perth anda coins, as many missed out today. better get there early around. 8am to start lining up. (event starts at 10.0 not every one will get one tommorrow either.
even if u go early. there may b already be people in front of u. cos if every one who missed out today went early tommorrow. allocation would be gone quick.
How much do you think these will go for? Last years rabbit is about $300 on average but the tiger is between $500 & $1000.
im guessing around $1000 considering that the dragon is more popular then the tiger. im glad i got my #188 2 oz today. also got the last high relief that they had at the show.
mayb even more if u saw the line this morning. and how all they faces drop when they said they heard they had miss todays allocation. i guess the coin show just wants to make money cos generally people do not attend the second day....
Should be worth a bit but maybe not $1000, we will soon know as there is one up on ebay! Rabbit for Buy it Now at $255 and tigers between $116 and $500 recently. Not a bad return!
why does a coin show special have an RRP and coin show special price? Perhaps later on I will be ending up to find one at the nearest PO?) $1000? IMO a coin worth as much as the buyer is willing to pay
dragafem i think u will very little chance that u will be able to buy them at the post office. because they are allocated for the perth coin show special. and considering that only about 1/4 of this morning line got today allocation of 500. i highly doubt they will be any left after the show for the post office.
Correct. This is one of those little perks people in Perth get, for living in the second-most remote capital city in the world.
I have been to Perth and would gladly move there for a limited edition 2oz Dragon but my wife is not so keen. I dragged her to the mint for a day trip, we didn't buy anything!
Haha, just buy one here and save yourself some money: http://www.silber-corner.de/index.php?page=product&info=1101- It's the exact same coin. Do you really want to pay $500+ for a certificate and a cardboard box??? I bet you can get the certificates and the cardboard boxes printed for a few dollars and it is probably not even illegal
Heard back from the Perth Mint after lodging my complaint and I am absolutely outraged. I was informed that 700 of the 1000 coins have been sold to dealers, 200 were sold to people who went to the show today and 100 will be available for tomorrow. The people at the Perth mint counter today were telling everyone they had sold 900 of their allocated coins and clearly inferring they had sold 900 to people who lined up. In fact they sold 200 to those people and have put 100 aside for tomorrow. Expect to see a flood of graded coins coming from Apmex and Gainsville putting these up at $500 plus. All said and done I was planning on flipping one but if I was only able to get one for my collection I would have been happy, as it is I'll have to pay a premium to do that through a dealer or on the secondary market. Ah well might have to get there Ezra early tomorrow.
is this only available on the ANDA show? will it be available in the perth mint later on or elsewhere?
If anyone is slabbing these coins they should get their brain checked. Then the coins immediately lose their "certificate and cardboard box" value
As stackeract mentioned above, aren't these just the 2oz coloured bullion, mintage of 40,000? (if previous years are anything to go by) Plus with the ANDA packaging + CoA? So there is not much point to getting them graded, they are the exact same coin as the other 40,000. The box normally gets thrown away when grading.
Well it doesn't mention being proof on the website but you can get the whole set from them http://www.silber-corner.de/de/Silb...ilber?x80364=kh4ipgg1jmgjo82em4c8300ct7kopmui Sure be a lot easier than moving to Perth.
