did they fix the face? what about the right leg? does it have COA? ah, it is the same old coin LOL btw, one could print card on printer ... it would worth less than $10 ))
Ive sussed out what the thing is with the horsey legs. It's got something to do with this.... [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/2939_spinning-silhouette-optical-illusion.gif][/imgz]
The wonky legs are a deliberate optical illusion built into the coin as a security feature, like a hologram sort of.
ROFL I look at the coin and see that this is deliberate act of sabotage from Perth Mint. to be honest coin looks much better than on picture ... face doesn't look so bad ... but with closer look this leg is just jumping out if they make this "deliberate optical illusion" one more time - It'll not be funny
You've gotta remember, You guys in Australia have exclusive access to those, we cannot order them here from Canada, US, etc.
I always never use word "troll(ish)", but I can't say take this topic seriously. Sorry guys and girls but I found it very amusing. Which was first poster intention anyway. This coin will be probably know as The Stock Legged Horse. For me it's quite obvious why leg "stands" out. But this is "art". Everybody interpret it by its own. One will say Mona Lisa is just a nice portrait. Other will see "truth of life in it". Others something else. Etc. As Microsoft would say this is not a bug, this is a feature! Or maybe that was Apple. Anyway why leg "stands" out? The horse is standing on last 2 legs. Means all the back legs muscles are tight. Meaning their shape will stand out more clearly (all weight is on last two legs). Then there is another theory. What if back legs are darker / different color? And even more obvious. Leg "stands" out because otherwise it would look like both last legs are in the "same level". Look at Porsche logo. It can be funny too (look it for longer time period): [img=FluxBB bbcode Porsche]http://exhibitmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/porsche-logo.jpg[/img] If you Google/Images you will find so many horses with last leg "standing" out. No offense to all French people here: [img=FluxBB bbcode Naphorse]http://www.freakingnews.com/pictures/29500/Horse-Legs---29632.jpg[/img] I've talked with man who is behind "Horse" series. He told me that next coin will be different. Without mistakes. Legs and and face won't be so much "in front". He also said that he wanted to make "snakes" series and it's now sad why didn't do it. By any luck I will maybe get few more while they are still relatively cheap. Don't worry.
Listed at Perth Mint. 1000 coins available from 8 july. Exclusive to australian customers. http://www.perthmint.com.au/catalogue/the-australian-stock-horse-2013-1oz-silver-coin.aspx
Yes. Yes. Only 1000 made. I would say "mistakes". Some people are complaining. I see no problems. So would really like too hear/see more opinions and pictures from those who bough it. Would like to get few cardboard version as well. Just to have "whole package". The price will be probably (much) higher here in EU. :/
No wonder there is 18 pages, same thing being said over and over again, dont think people read the thread they just post...lol
Just ordered one now. Pretty new at this $65 for 1oz silver!! Still trying to get my head around/justify the semi-numis part of this silver stacking. Hope it's worth it. It sure is fun though. Ian
I personally like the way perth mint packaged it. Although can't justify paying extra for it. Also, not available here
