    Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
    Or close the wall up with our English dead.
    In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
    As modest stillness and humility:
    But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
    Then imitate the action of the tiger;
    Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
    Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
    KING HENRY V

    Welcome back Lav! Indeed, a key resistance has been breached! Pop yourself downstairs for a juicy steak. After you climbed aboard late last night several crew members raced into my cabin clutching metal detectors and asked me if we can possibly "pop by" Macedonia sometime soon! Quite strange!

    Crew, there were a lot of feathers swirling around our deck this morning. BlackSheep had better lend us some wool to knit a woolly vest for Maggie up there in the Crow's Nest or OHSA will shut us down for keeps.

    A terrible battle raged last night - and we were thwarted in our goal. But are we Mice or Men? OK, I guess I should ask are we mice or blacksheep or men? That is, are we mice, blacksheep, magpies, parrots, crocodiles, kookaburras, pelicans, ... Oh forget it!

    My point is we are not going to give up now when our goal is so close. The gallant efforts of our crew have brought us within striking distance of Berg 34 so tonight we will mount a fresh challenge on the monster. (Otherwise there's "Lassie Come Home" showing in Cinema One tonight, but come on this is a real adventure do you think this happens every day?)

    We have every available inch of canvas out at present, so I need someone to set up our little out-board motor on the stern. It's not very powerful, but we need all the help we can get. There's no two stroke fuel left in the hold, so we'll have to run it on vodka and rum. It might help.

    Onward crew!

    Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
    Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
    Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
    And teach them how to war.
    For there is none of you so mean and base,
    That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.
    I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
    Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
    KING HENRY V

    SPOT : USD $ 33.50 (AUD $: 1.058 and rising fast)

    Good work crew, although I don't think it was just the vodka that did it.

    I found an empty half gallon tin next to the outboard motor this morning labelled R.U.M.

    I'm sure you all meant well, but actually that tin didn't contain Rum, it was a sample of nuclear fuel for the Control Room's UPS, kindly sent to us from the "Ranger Uranium Mine" in the Northern Territory.

    Still, all's well that ends well.

    Breakfast time folks! Come and get em.....

    Come you back to Mandalay,
    Where the old Flotilla lay:
    Can't you 'ear their paddles chunkin' from Rangoon to Mandalay?
    On the road to Mandalay,
    Where the flyin'-fishes play,
    An' the dawn comes up like thunder outer China 'crost the Bay!

    Well I don't know about the rest of you but I'm getting rather chilly drifting here so close to the infamous Berg 35. I've lowered the sails to stop them icing up.

    Strap in tonight crew... a very wild night lies ahead...

    Let's try to reach Berg 36 by morning. There are tales told of this Berg. Many folk have gone near it but very few have returned.
    Many a captain has been lured to his doom out there by the siren voices that are said to reverberate around its cavernous interior, crying "Ssshhhort silverrrrr.... it'sss overrrr boughttttt".

    (I will be lashing myself to the main mast tonight, in case the voices get to me too. No matter what I say to you you must NOT release me under any circumstances.)

    Here are the latest AUD and DOW charts. That September equities 'crash' is now playing itself out in reverse, with oil, PMs and commodities rising on the good news that Europe has finally 'done something' about it's debt crisis.

    It's remarkable how they can say these things and keep a straight face. Surely one day Frau Merkel will shake her head, turn to the cameras and grin broadly and say
    "Gotcha! You thought we were serious about all that bailout hogwash, didn't you? Man, what a hoot! You guys all looked SO worried..."

    MANIPULATION IN ACTION VS. MANIPULATION INACTION

    The current silver rise is being 'allowed' to happen of course. (JPM are probably buying silver contracts on the rise too. By the way, one contract is 5,000 ounces. That's a big bar!)
    Without the hourly price smash down silver will continue to wander up the chart until buying halts (one day!!) or until intervention returns. This price action is merely intervention "inaction".
    I recommend folk stop 'counting the rise' about now, because we will probably be right back here again later next week when the margins are raised once more and the bids are pulled and Seor Silver get his usual rough handling. Enjoy the ride while you can though :)

    [IMG]
    Above is the current death cross situation. It's probably not going to mean a lot when the fundamentals are so strong but some bean counters trade by them.
    If we can get the price above both moving averages we might *really* see some neat action. Some resistance lies around $37-38.

    HOIST THE SAILS!

    SPOT : USD $ 35.27
