Wasn't performing to my high expectations... Sold my LTC at US$8.80

Happy enough with that. More than double money.

Best of luck to those holding!!

As far as I can tell, BTC-e is only at like $8.80 but OkCoin is up around the $15 mark??

Volume has slowed down again so you might be in a good spot silver sale for 6 hours.

The enjoyable part is, to get my LTC out I had to trade them for BTC.

BTC has since sky-rocketed, so making money while waiting for confirmations... mwahaha :)

Selling my LTC converted BTC for AU$850 :) Excellent!

Just a quick question for you more experienced out there...

if one purchases BTC or LTC at a specific exchange, are those "coins" stranded at that particular exhange or does one "take ownership" of these coins once purchased and can one then sell these coins at any other exchange??

Just trying to understand how this whole bluddy thing is supposed to work??

I would have thought that since this is "digital currency" that once it's been purchased by yourself then these coins are then yours to use or sell anywhere else on earth - including at any other exchange located anywhere on earth???

    Is this not correct??

it is correct//But I would suggest you just do some reading..As I ..am still getting my head around it but basically you need a virtual wallet to store your coins on and keep offline

    best of luck!

You can withdraw your coins at an exchange, the destination address is either your local wallet, or a deposit address at another exchange (which will be unique to your account on that exchange).

okay, so it would seem then that the safer option - if one is wary of an exchange collapse/bankruptcy is to rather download each coin purchased to one's own "wallet" ...

the only issue with this option being if one had to somehow lose this electronic "wallet", eg. disk failure of disk containing wallet etc. ??

any tips/links as to how I would go about establishing/creating my own virtual wallet?

I'm asuming that BTC's and LTC's cannot co-exist in the same wallet and that each type of "digital coin" has its own custom wallet?
