Really? You put the kook last??

My suggestion would be if you can hold out a few months put what you're planning to put in these into the lunar release

I believe in the Croc, big believer. It's the first issue and they will make more. It is sold worldwide. It is highly collectable. It is limited. It is Australian Legal tender coin. It is low premium. It is good looking.
    So many positives.

Luckily the market is down so it's cheap and you can get them. Otherwise there would be croc fever. Just wait, time will tell.

Kooks are still good. Koalas are still good but a little less collected also the mintage varies.

    Croc.

Because they are already retailing same price as kooks and koalas wherever the OP is looking.

How can you remint something that's already been minted to max?

Kooks have a good track record with premiums.

Crocs could turn out to be a good play, but they're more speculative.

Also, if they are all the same price, then you are probably either paying too much for the croc, or you are getting a good price on the kook.

You know how Perth does it. They'll make privies, then 5 different colorized versions. Later will be several sizes, and finally make a 1oz high relief as well as a 5oz HR.

Low premium, low mintage, first bullion coin, and first in the series. In the US they cost as much as generic rounds, I see no reason to buy rounds over these.

You better jump on the bandwagon.

Crocs. But save your money till the new lunars get released, and buy more crocs with it.

Honestly I would say Koala, as I got a strange feeling that 2014 koalas will have very low mintage.

Is the new Lunar being released in Sept? This is bad news... i'm on the path to collecting 10oz and I'm not going to be able to buy the Horse before Sept... just got a snake at extra premium >.<

    I want to get a 2013 & 2014 Kook & Koala too.

My gut says the same - I will ask the question this week re sales to date. Mind you the Koala is the only 1oz silver bullion coin available wholesale from the mint at the moment, so sales may pick up.

Kook or Koala. They come with a capsule and Croc doesn't.

On the 17/02/14 the mintage for the 2014 koala was at 109,389 so it won't be too small. Still could be a smaller mintage than both the kook and the croc ;)

From another forum, the Croc is not part of a series and most generic rounds have a much lower premium than Crocs. I like the Croc coin and think it will do well. But choosing between coins in established series and Crocs would be a hard decision for me. If my information is wrong and the Crocs are part of a series, my choice would be Crocs.
