Tick tock goes the Xmas clock. Maybe he took out a massive short on silver and is now bankrupt?

Must have or he's keeping quiet in case nothing happens... But if it does, we'll see another "I Was Right" post. Easy to make predictions when you don't put anything on the line. Not even a measly 10oz bar of Ag :)

At least he had the guts to make a prediction even if it was only to say "I was right or wrong".

Why don't you make a prediction even it is for nothing?

Speaking of predictions, where's Captain Sideways these days? Too embarrassed to post?

Pretty pointless, that's why. But for you I'll predict $10.10 silver by Xmas 2015.

    Futures market story:

    28 october 2014:
    Price $17.22 and 14155 x 5000 = 70.775 Moz hedged against speculators.

    09 december 2014:
    Price $17.12 and 35357 x 5000 = 176.785 Moz hedged against speculators.

Ignoring the 10 cent price difference:
176.785 - 70.775 = 106.01 Moz was bought less / sold more, over this period of 6 weeks.

With the futures markets price part again preventing it from being reflected in the price.
That reflection shall happen once they dump the hedge again.

Every 70 Moz supply/demand change seems to correspond to a $US 1 price change.
    106 / 70 = $1.5
    $17.2 - $1.5 = $15.7
Assuming again a futures market-selling-with-cash market selling (in the end, a futures hedge has a cash market position against it so both come and go together), subtract another $1.5: $14.2.
Which was indeed the new bottom price we have seen.
    Conclusion: nothing changed since.
Which thus says that $14.2 will be revisited.
I'll wait for my next purchase till there, and also add-in some extra wait in case dealers increase again their premium temporarly.

Current decision, based on current data.

    Ok, just for me then.

For you I will predict double your prediction which is around $20.20 by Xmas 2015.

That will be next time when you got that stupid Santa outfit on your avatar again. :D

How should one interprete the word "sideways"?
Judged along recent years price movements, the entire 2 decades early eighties till early 2000's appeared as sideways, yet the average annual price fluctuated between $3.7 and $6.79. That's a price fluctuation of 80%, despite the "sideways" over the multiyears/decades period.
2014's average price is atm $19.2, and that's pretty much the price that Captain Sideways declared as such.
I'm not taking a position here about the future, I can't since I don't know, it depends on everybody out there.
Or another example, remember 2008? Price has been over $20 and under $10 there. Average price was $15. Some days ago the price has had some $15 returns. Just like with that 2 decades story, one could also declare this as sideways over the 6 years period, no?
The word "sideways" is (or should be) linked to a term, being ones financial 'silver horizon'. I think people that "save" in silver judge on the longer term, not on the fluctuations that occurred over the period. In the end, I like to purchase the same back that I produced. Whether the price has been $1 and $100 or a straight horizontal in meantime, I don't really care.
Shouldn't this be the perspective to judge from?

    I resemble that remark!

I'm on record for $21 silver at Christmas and $25 at Easter.

However, it's more about the size of your stack, not its fiat value. I think the Stackeratti have never had it do good at these low prices. I'm sure that had I waited for the bottom, I would be lucky to have had one tenth of what I have now. With averaging, $22 silver spot will see me in front.

I didn't realise so many people posted on this thread.

    1) You should make it a rule to actually read the post on a thread you post on. So you don't come across like a fool who posts stuff out of context.

    2) Yes, I was right and you were wrong. You are not always numero uno. Get over it.

    3) Since you insist, I will be ALL your assets against ALL my liabilities. How does that sound?

    4) So you were wrong. Get over it. Move on.

    1) I read the post... And it's not out of context. You're betting $10 silver by Xmas 2015, correct?

    2) How can I be wrong when I never made a prediction?

    3) Sounds stupid.

    4) Same as #2

    5) Get over it. He's clearly in a state of self-satisfied euphoria. Now feed him validation so it boosts his ego and keeps his personal insecurities at bay or move on

You have been stacking for four years and a half (or at least that's how long you have been member of silverstackers.com), so how is a year a long time?

    1) Yes, $10 silver by Xmas 2015.

    3) So what about HALF you assets against HALF my liabilities? Would that satisfy you.
