That comment about the one thread is a load of Cods Whollop.
Fair dinkum there's more political spin on that then Julia's "There will be no Carbon tax"
    Here here to Alexisio's comment.
Has common sense left the building to be replaced by saving cents?

Julie - Butch's Hijacked thread bit the dust as well! No challenges to be had there!

Why not? It will be the only way you can show there is a person behind the avatar. Or you could just
spew out the same links and shyte day after day and don't talk to each other.

Not so much worried about having a place for a chat ... people will find a way to chat one way or another

.. more concerned about threads which are not seen to fit within the strict confines of the topics being poo-pood by management, when no doubt they have value for a significant number of other stackers here.

I accidently hit the thanks button instead of the quote button, and Ladybird, I do not thank you for your post. the current GD in the members section is civil, interesting, informative and a nice place to visit, your suggestion will only encourage the riff raff .Next you'll be suggesting we allow women into the Private Mens Bar!! Or worse yet, opening the Secret Room to all and sundry,

Ive got a suggestion . Why dont you open the hidden gen discussion up for a day or 2 & let people decide whether its worth $40 to be a part of .

Its obvious people want somewhere to discuss other things apart from metals . Then they stump up the silver & its a bunch of pompous coin collectors talking about pandas & dragons that doesnt fit what the unpaid members are looking for ? Theyve effectively done their money & are no better off..

This place appealed to me because of the characters having a laugh most of who have left or only post sporadically now. maybe im different in thinking lifes all about having a laugh inbetween the important stuff that makes life mundane & to have to pay for it is something i think doesnt fit in with the aussie way of life.
Its more communist .....you must pay the powers type of heirachy.

Can anyone name me a forum where it costs you $40 to have a chat ?

Renovator, don't look at is as paying $40 to have a chat, but rather just giving some tiny amount of donation in return for
all the fun you have had and all the threads you got to learn and share on and to contribute too, the people you got to interact with, the people you will get to meet, etc.

I know you are in Asia, but do you forget that in Australia $40 doesn't pay for much at all these days. You have money,
so drop $40 and shutup (said with a smile on my face and a big hug to you, and kiss kiss and all that, cause I admire you, you know ?).

I miss the GD too, A LOT !
With or without GD, $40 is well worth being part of this forum.
