MSM no longer reports on this catastrophe..Just read about US senator visiting the site and raising concerns about reactor 4. What we don't know wont hurt us seems to be the message coming from MSM.

Japan could well be finished as a major financial player, what do you think??

To view what I read just google Peak Oil

    Regards Errol 43

I went to Japan less than 6 months after the problems with Fukushima, and I didn't come back with second head.

As long as you're not standing next to the reactor, I am pretty sure you'll be fine ;)

6 reactors, 4 in meltdown, one that's fuelled with a plutonium mix. What's the problem with that? Why don't they just flush the lot into the Pacific Ocean and forget about it? What's the worse that can happen?

Actually, I've read that the Japanese would like to relocate about 40 million people away from the worst effected areas, to islands controlled by Russia. Australia could change the Malaysia solution for the Japan solution and ship all those pesky boat people to Northern Japan and then charge the Japanese to relocate to Australia.

Provide a disincentive for future boat people and boost our GDP. You know it makes sense.

(Resorting to humour because the truth is just too upsetting. Sorry.)

The problem is with the waste that is all over the site. It is deadly dangerous to clean up and readings in Tokyo are apparently up. I've read some very frightening reports about radiation readings out to sea. This one is apparently bigger than Chernobyl and has more clean up problems.

There is a black swan floating down a river somewhere waiting to surprise this topic.

There was a thread on this, the greatest industrial disaster in the history of mankind, however I believe it was in the GD sub-forum.

The village my dad was born in is 30km from Chernobyl , I remember going there as a kid .
No running water ,no electricity ,after it farted there ,EVERYTHING is black/grey & yes people still live there .
Dying a slow death from really obscure cancers ,they still grow vege's in containment soil slowly killing themsels.
Only the old people with no family are left there

The native wildlife in and near Chernobyl is apparently thriving though :)

My understanding is, that the night shooting is good there for hunters. Apparently, the animals glow in the dark. :)

I hope that if the time comes that Australia will make land and resources available for those who may need to leave Japan. Let's pray that it never comes to that though.

I was watching an unrelated YouTube video about health. In that video the guy said that the Canadian Government used to monitor radiation. A couple of days after Fukushima the Canadian government said "You know what? We've been monitoring for radiation for decades and haven't picked anything up. So we're going to stop monitoring immediately"
