These are being advertised on the usual sites. Wholesale from Alibaba @ US $2.20 (prominently indicated as a replica) then smaller lots on Aliexpress from US $2.50 without "replica" over the image, but with "silver plated" in the title. Probably they'll show up on eBay eventually. Alibaba Then on to Aliexpress They've obviously just copied the Perth Mint images so there's no indication of what the actual product would look like. I wonder if they will include the "1 dollar" denomination?
Counterfeiting a sovereign currency. Anyone who knowingly imports one of these is presumably committing a felony.
There's no evidence that they've actually made them. The pictures are the Perth Mint ones. They are merely hawking them for sale. They should go back to buying all the houses in my street. Pisses me off.... But it least its honest....
It goes to show the spider is a hit, else why they bother. But many will avoid this down the years as there may be too many fakes.
Hmm interesting. Have they been able to counterfeit the maples ever since they introduced the radial design and the laser engraving?
if you buy original, the spider will walk off the coin and you would be left with a blank coin. while the fake would still have the spider web stuck on the coins tubes, but left a funnel on your pulse.
Seems to me that you need to have your eyes checked the image you posted has REPLICA on it. not sure why you said "without "replica" over the image"?
The joke is that whoever is producing these fake coins are clearly good enough to be producing their own original coins. Really wish they would start getting creative instead of just ripping people off.
