Silver will never be at the 2011 low again, ever.

Even if one holds onto it until the next bear market that will still mean a handsome profit in my opinion. If you buy silver now and sell at anytime for the rest of your life after holding 2+ years you're laughing. Even the greedy ones who buy now and sell way after the peak will be sitting pretty.

Those who sell early will have all the regrets, not those who sell late.

Okay, so when you said you see guys like me gettin creamed all the time in the market you were actually saying that its arrogance that is causing them to be creamed and not the fact that they're buying silver?

just wanted to clear that up

okay ... so its okay to buy silver, but only if you had sold an equal amount at or near $49 a couple of months ago?
otherwise its not good/profitable to buy silver now?

    not sure you savvy mate!?

No you were asking why he bought back in and I said to make a profit. I don't think you're an ass because you believe in silver. I think you're an ass because you have a huge ego.
I didn't buy when it rushed up into the forties but I'm buying now that its down. Its about accumulating ounces and that means making smart purchases. If I had a large stack when it was 49 I would have sold and swapped for gold. I'm new to the game and I like pretty much everyone believe in silver so no need to argue about it.
But Stellas right about one rthing my buddies dad is sitting on 40 k (early 80s dollars) or silver bought at the high 30's.
No matter what you invest in there is always risk.

Thats one way of looking at it. Another is i dont change with the wind like so many in this place. They have absolutely no conviction at all.
By the way - Stella SELLING at $49 (or close to that) was where he made his profit. There was no reason whatsoever to buy back into silver again, unless he figured it is good value to buy and is likely to increase in value into the future ...

    SAVVY ???

yeh yeh - everybody's a bluddy Einstein now with 20/20 hindsight ... I would have sold at $49 if ....
Well lets see you all pick the next peak before it all "crashes" again and then you can all "make a profit".

In the meantime, "arrogant" mortals such as myself will simply continue to buy physical at every opportunity and leave the not-so-arrogant Einsteins around here to trade their way into big profits

well well every one may have a different position but are on the same side buying silver.

let say a guy bought $200 k when prices was low $7, then he is holding on to a huge pile 28500 oz, so even if he is adding more purchases at $50, for $20k, abt 10% more of his original purchase $ outlay, he is getting additional 400 oz, position. he can closed his eyes and buying and buying and will not really impacting much in terms of ounces on the average cost, until well very long indeed. (a decade may be)

if you are in a very different position, there are many ridiculous thing ? that you can do. WOW, back up the mining truck man.

indeed "selling" may never appear in someone's dictionary.

not in the near future or until silver prices went up too many times multiples. it could be tempting to sell at $8, but no buyer willing to take, so it is good to get stuck :)

I'm afraid I agree with hem9 on this one. I know it's a public forum and standards these days have slipped but surely you can get any message across without resorting to bad language and name calling - it's not kindergarten or parliament. It's also not all adults on this site.

What!! I'm sorry if maintaining standards makes me a roach - never been called that before. I tell my 6 year old off for using that language and honestly would make the same comments if I'd seen anyone else use the language - however yours was the first I had seen for a long time. There is no need for you or anyone else resort to personal attacks.

    What a dirty mind YKY...

How could you think of such things from a simple "Go play with your stack, you seem angry"???

    What do you smoke?

+1 on the language, if you can't get the point across with decent language then don't bother because swearing is for losers who can't form a logical argument.
