I had another mad idea recently :p
I picked up a bakelite razor yesterday , I prefer these old double edged razors

I want one in silver  so I asked my jeweller ;)
    He likes the idea

I want a thicker handle & longer as well

    Any interest ?

Don't know if I should get the bit that holds the blade made in silver or stainless ?

X10 what ever it's going to cost me :p
Just doing the handle in silver & using an original head would be the cheapest way out :D

I love these DE razors, I would be tentatively in for one if you manage to have some made spanner.

Something along the lines of the Merkur 34C could be what you are looking for in terms of a chunkier handle.

Man, I start to bleed just by looking at those murder sticks.

And I've used a straight edge razor

Now that you made me look them up ,
    I do like them
    BUT
    They need to be longer
Doing a few measurements with what I have on hand
I want these to be at least
    15mm wide - pref 20mm wide
    100mm long - 110 long

A lot easier to do my legs and back with a long handle.

I can make it a metre long or even adjustable length especially for you
But you'll have to provide the silver

Why wouldn't it be safe to use ?
I find the older machinery better than the new crap
