I can't help but think there's a black swan event just around the corner, something big enough to take the world's focus away from economic woes. Something like: * Terrorist event at Olympic Games * Missle fired from 'rogue' state at enemy (Iran, North Korea), starting a conflict * Major health epidemic Thoughts?
http://maxkeiser.com/2011/03/20/not...lver-in-wiring-contacts-solder-and-batteries/[/quote] Any one ever get to the bottom of cruise missiles and silver. I always thought it was BS, but researching to bust I did find some info that some strange stuff happens with HE and Ag. I still think war is more bullish for Cu, Zn and Pb
OMG, saw this thread title!!!........ I was looking over my black swan video footage from Canberra and looking up 'black swan event today.
I'd agree, the chances of a military conflict are higher I do believe one real reason why the UN does not intervene in Syria has alot to do with the oil price.
My money is on the fact that Russia has 1) a permanent seat on the UN Security Council 2) Veto power in the UN and 3) it's only Mediterranean Naval Base in Syria EDIT TO ADD and Russia is a Nuclear Power that is unfriendly to US interests
from jan 11 The phrase "Black Swan" is really making the rounds these last few months. Uttering the term a year ago would have earned you a collection of confused looks and a general attitude of disinterest. Now, people behave as if they had learned about economic shockwave events and the global domino effect when they were in kindergarten. The problem is that when this kind of terminology hits the mainstream, in most cases it comes prepackaged with dumbed down and diluted definitions which promote an inadequate, cartoonish understanding of the circumstances. http://www.zerohedge.com/article/guest-post-migration-black-swans
