    GP,
Just curious on the private import.
Are you bringing them into the country in your luggage or sending them seperate?
If in the luggage, do you have to declare them? There currecny value is obviously less than 10k but the value is closer to double that.

Im a little confused with the whole customs declaration with this sort of thing.

The reason I ask, is that I hope to be doing the same thing on my visit there in a couple of months and could use a couple of good tips to keep out of trouble. I was intending to purchase a monster box, split the rolls between mine and my partners luggage and not declare. I will give customs a buzz regardless, just looking for your input.?
If you are sending them, are they taxed on entry?

    Cheers

I am curious to know as well as I am thinking of doing the same thing but the other way around, Aus to Canada/US.
Having said that, if it's too much trouble, I might liquidate my stack here and re-purchase it over there.

I wouldn't be bringing it back in luggage, it would be shipped. Still investigating.

I really like the eagles. I have a couple of unopened rolls but also keep 6 uncapsulated sitting by my PC to 'play' with. After some months they are still looking like new.

    Excellent pics 97guns! Beautiful coins!

    I too am interested GP.

Just wondering what a good price is per coin for these. The pictures above have been good advertising! As I have mainly been
purchasing Perth Mint products, I have no idea what a good BUY price would be.
    thanks!

After looking at completed listings, anything under $37 posted seems like a good price each. Does this seem about right to those who have been purchasing these? I am looking at 2010 ones when quoting this price.

It will be interesting to find out.
As my brother is going to the US with about 13 mates on a trip to las vegas.
So can easily split rolls up inbetween them.
Anyone know any bullion dealers in Las Vegas?

If you buy 90% or less in silver in coins not considered bullion by customs and will be their coin face value only.

IF the 90 percent rule applies I can see a couple of hundred in Morgans in the carry on! Does it apply to gold purity in coins also?

Hmm I've been told anecdotally that it's illegal to export older US coinage. Obviously if there is such a law it's regularly flaunted.

After purchasing my first ASE i'm diappointed to discover it has a matte finish. I certainly prefer the shiny finish of the perth mint coins.

Are the Canadian Maples a matte finish or shiny?

The 2006 reverse proof cost US$250 or more.

I would classify Maples as being shiny but the background is not polished, the maple leaf itself is shiny as well as the Queen's portrait.

I like the proof ASE's but the standard mint version is very plain bullion. Any Perth Mint silver coin is way better regards standard finish etc.

Different for hoarding collectors, but won't the coin premiums disappear when silver gallops upward?

'I wanna buy an ounce of silver, here's my $300'
    ' I have this collector's coin and it's $450'
'I wanna buy an ounce of silver. I have $300'
