Nice! Does price fluctuate with spot? I just noticed they were $30 AUD 2 minutes ago right when you posted link, now they're $31. Increase of $1 per coin across all price tiers. If we buy 20, are each encapsulated and come in original sealed rolls like the Lunar/kooks, or will it come in shitty tubes like crocs?
The price fluctuates with spot and each coin is encapsulated. We just experienced a slight error with our pricing algorithm (and you caught it). This is now corrected. We expect the usual sealed roll but they are in transit from Perth so can't confirm just yet. We take delivery of all coins Monday - but are taking pre-orders from today.
Hi Danny Boy ~ For international orders, please enquire via email - [email protected] or via phone +61 7 3221 0500
50,000 total mintage of the Wedge Tailed Eagle coins which is all complete. 45,000 went to one distributor in the US and 5,000 to Ainslie.
I just went to order 10 x Wedgetails from Ainslie and the freight is $44 insured or $35 not insured. Brisbane to Brisbane!!! That puts quite a premium on 10 coins. Their office is closed, so i will ring them tomorrow to see if they can do it any cheaper. Anyone else have experience with ordering from Ainslie - this "may" be my first time depending on the freight cost>
To pick it up is about a 35 minute drive each way (Brisbane is a spread out place) plus parking costs in the city. Ainslie offers $10 parking though. But the time and costs would be more than their freight charge. I can courier something up to 3kg anywhere in brisbane for under $7 same day. I am just used to what other dealers charge - even Perth Mint is cheaper!!! Maybe I am just being stingey.
Easy...do you get paid $44/hour after tax? if not, go and pick up...if yes pay postage One will save your $, the other save you time
Ainslie are cool, shipping via courier with insurance is standard. We have some coming in as we have ordered from Ainslie, can order via the email in my signature. $11.25 auspost on 10oz, insurance is extra if required.
Problem solved. Got a mate who works in the city who can pick up and we went halves in 20 of them, so even cheaper!! I should have thought about my options vs being a tight arse!!
I like the look of this BU coin more than the Proof and HR. Not everything needs to sell out instantly to be a success. It seems that GovMint is hell bent on slabbing at least 44,000 of the 45,000 they got so the coins in their original capsules should be a lot harder to come by long term.
I contacted Ainslie about shipping to the states, they wanted $100 to ship 20 so that is not going to fly. Looks like I will have to deal with a large pile of plastic from Govmint if I want to stack these.
