My observation is that RAM Kanga are under-appreciated here in Oz, but commands premium overseas in Europe & US.
Do you one better, an online dealer has the uncirculated coins for $87.00 http://www.prospectstampsandcoins.c...ock-wallaby-1oz-silver-uncirculated-coin.html And this dealer is $86.00  http://www.westernsydneystampsandcoins.com.au/2012-1-fine-silver-frunc-coin-mareeba-rock-wallaby/
Last week it was, this week i can see why RAM raised the price. I mean silver spot has gone over $50.. they need to know they can source blanks and mint the kangaroos for $60 now which means they proberbly wont lose too much money making them, at $50 the risk is buying the raw silver @ more than the final sale price - a bunkrupting strategy. Yep to me.. $60 is still decent and the quickening is upon us.. few years back i thought $25 was taking the piss 1for1
Downies $87 - who can find $88! Proof $100 online. Their little spiel says "available at issue price."
You can find them elsewhere for $60 but really $87?! Sheesh - JOKE! The RAM will list them online soon and they will be $60. Some trying to cash in on them being "just" released it seems.
RAMINT Price $87.00 for carded uncirc http://mintissue.ramint.gov.au/mintissue/product.asp?code=310047
yep RAM drastically raised the prices on all the roos unc: $50 -> $87 proof: $65 -> $100 Gold roo has gone from $260 to $365 this year! Was sold out online within an hour last year - still available now at the end of the first day.... ... gee, wonder why - 2011 and 2010 gold roos sell for less than that Combination of high price and ugly coin = possible future boomer ??
Mind bogglingly stupid. I can't see myself buying anything from either RAM or Perth mint this year. Domestic market fail.
The gold roo was my worst performer. Bought it at end of 2009 @189. Today it is not possible to sell it at this price.
