A similar thing happened to me, don't remember how long ago it was (maybe 2006 or 2007) but I went into a bank (the only Canadian bank that sells gold) and wanted 20 1/20th oz gold coins and the guy talked me out of it, he said they're too small and the premium is too high etc etc BS, it worked out to $800 for all 20 coins. I said I'll go home and think about it and never made the purchase
Great gifts! Kid size! If you are into BARTER they are handy. Dont think i would stack 100 of them, but nice to have a few around.
Dont buy the gold, here, invest in property so i can hock you to the eyeballs in debt! Yep makes you wanna cry mate, but hey we have all done that at some stage, ya not alone.
the 2008 /2009 series 2 1/2 ounce lunars only had a small mintage of around 17,000 compared to the 2010 tiger of 50,000 so people who are looking to make a set of series 2 1/2 ounce silver bullion lunars will be pushing the price up on these coins i would suggest.
there is one place where the premium on 1/2oz coins is lower than any other size bullion. FirstMajestic... they are ugly. but as you go smaller in their products. the premium per item goes down. i know their pricing is ridiculous for a lesser known brand but i cant help but buy it.
I quite like the looks of their stuff, oh and the Lydian mint premiums are quite low and they are a nice lookking round, but you have to do decent sized orders on their 1/2s and 1/4s
There would be some here that know of one dealer that had a SE suburbs bloke come in with 1/4mill in krugerrands some years ago.He cashed in If he started collecting Krug's in 1987,would he have been better placing that money into property?
