ROFL at some of the comments here  I would be spewing cause i have about 20% of my savings in PM's and the rest of my savings that is in the bank would be worth Fsck all ...
I got into holding physical silver because its cheap. Any research will confirm this.I honestly think the big money wont happen in my lifetime ($10,000 oz)and im 48. BUT....i do think it will happen. I stack for my family's future security (they all think im a funny old man). Im stacking because its time to buy... now... till its too dear at whatever an ounce?I got into this years ago with no real thought of what to do myself with it other than reaching collective milestones which have all been smashed.I just want what i already have and i wish the world would just get on with each other to make it a better place. WE ARE VERRY LUCKY TO LIVE IN AUSTRALIA and to have hobbys like Bullion collecting ..... but the thought of my own island puts a smile on my dial.
(I honestly think you are wrong!) Good on you Pete. You're family are very fortunate to be so well-cared for. I love your sentiments.
if silver went to $10,000 i would have made up what has been lost and be in a position to redeem what was taken without consent
1 yacht, heaps of surfboards & the rat race getting smaller on the horizon. Oh & the Mrs sunning herself up the front, better invite her. Boat name - The SS
If silver went to 10k i think i might struggle selling boxes to people for over 5 million. But i would take my stock, retire and see the world. Or buy a small country!!
I would have a "We Told You So" party, forum members only, after a week of solid debauchery, invite you all on my yacht for a week of fishing, then on to my Mansion for a week wind down, everyone gets a personal maid except me.
I'd buy 10 acres somewhere quiet, get completely off the grind with animals, greenhouse and self sufficient energy and enjoy a quiet life.
That's about what I would do too. But with age creeping up, tending the small farm could become hard work, so maybe setup a woofers system too. Give them food and shelter in return for work. I wouldn't buy any more junk. We have enough already. Then i'd invest my time and resources into overturning the stupid politcal system we currently have in Australia, where decisions are made based on economics instead of common sense and the common good for us, our earth, and future generations.
