Went to the hardware store today to buy some timber and villaboard etc. Computer system did a nosedive when I tried to pay, I waited patiently and was rewarded with a trade discount. Drove round the back to pick up the villaboard, first sheet had a broken corner so the guy gave it me for free!!!! Good day.

Picked up an original sun newspaper from 1945 surrender of the Germans , in the same box was a 1912 daily mirror with the sinking of the titanic.

Full set of "the war in pictures" all 6 books in excellent condition.

Bought a vintage overhead projector from the 70's for $2 lol works a treat!

Hi Bank manager that o/h that you bought is worth a few dollars.
I got mine a 3M briefcase type for $50 at auction 20 years ago. Nobody else knew what it was!
It has earnt me plenty of very well paid jobs as an original signwriter if I go out in early morning hours to 'cheat'
on my layout for the next days writing on many a large wall haha

Nice to see you have hidden all your Jackie Collins novels for the photo.

Two bits of recycled wood, a bit of stain and two repurposed glass shelves from a bathroom medicine cabinet, 10 minutes with the circular drop saw, a bit of sanding, I would say about $10. Oh wait, St Kilda, sounds posh, make that $20.

    Sounds about right!

I got some bathroom cabinets from Ikea and after hacking them I had a whole load of bevelled glass shelves just like those ones left over. I just wrapped them in newspaper and stuck them in the back of the wardrobe and you know what? For a sale of $10... that's where they are staying.
