And...for those who haven't noticed, the inscription on the 2013 coin says - THE AUSTRALIAN STOCK HORSE. The 2014 coin says - AUSTRALIAN STOCK HORSE H http://www.perthmint.com.au/catalog...ign=2014-APR-NL1&utm_content=Feature_6_Button http://www.perthmint.com.au/catalogue/the-australian-stock-horse-2013-1oz-silver-coin.aspx
That new design is a little sloppy, with the omission of the "the" when you see them together like that. I think they should have stuck with this earlier leaked one for the follow up: Guess I'll just have to wait for the privy version now. So I bit the bullet and ordered one carded horse from Downies. Last year I was only able to get uncarded versions in the US and hope to get some more this year. Understand that the carded versions are limited to 1000, does that information appear anywhere on the carded version? All I can see on the pictures posted here is the stat box that indicates no more than 10,000 will be minted (the entire production run).
Ah, all the drama with every release of Stock Horse... Last year's stock whore joke really makes me fall off my chair!  Source:http://forums.silverstackers.com/viewtopic.php?pid=547493
Its probably just a mistake since all coins except the carded ones comes with a COA with coin number. And yes, pricing in Europe are around 80 for the coin with COA and coin number. You cant find a dealer that takes less anyway and i have myself sold a couple for around 70. So 40-45, no way here anyway.
sucks that the cards are not numbered, huge disappointment, changing the description on the website doesn't make it right...... I bought a crapload of these.....only due to the fact they were numbered........
Disappointment for all those Ebay sellers that are now advertising "Numbered" stock horses. It's unfortunate, but I think there's going to be many Ebay sellers amending their listings this morning. :|
The publicity information was incorrect the card is not numbered. Apologies for the mistake and if anyone is unsatisfied with the product as a result you can return it to the Mint for a refund under our 30-day money back guarantee.
According to Perth Mint ( http://www.perthmint.com.au/catalogue/the-australian-stock-horse-2014-1oz-silver-coin.aspx ) people outside Australia can purchase the coins from EMK: (Customers outside of Australia can purchase the coins from EMK - Coins and Precious Metals + 49 2235 927 37 47 or www.emk.com) Thats not true, because they just ship within Germany. So maybe that should be changed to "Customers in Germany". So the coin are only for Australia and Germany now. If you live elsewhere you have to wait for it on the secondary market. Or just dont give a damn about them anymore. Thats what i will do. Sad, i liked the coin but this is the way the german dealer and Perth Mint want it to be apparently. I think this can make many people lose interest of the coin and ill try to get rid of my coins from the first issue while the premium still are high. This was disappointing.
Yepper, I'm with you 100%. Suck me PM and German dealers, you're not the only game in town. I've been told that the issue won't be released until end of Apr. IF the price is reasonable, I'll buy, if not, I'll sell what I have, and move on to other areas of interest.
