Can anyone shed light on how this release will work? Can the coins be ordered online 4 hours from now or is the release date just when more info will come out on them? I remember buying the Melbourne cup 50c coins at 3am in the morning, hoping this will be similar?? Cheers BM
The 2014 Australian Stock Horse ( carded version ) will be released on 1st April at 12.01 am Perth time.
Interesting. Stock horse isn't on Talisman. Which means, when announced db is correct, or was it dcc, it will only be for Austrailian folks, then the other 9,000 (?) will go to distributors. Oh well. I'm glad I have the first horse. I'm not getting taken advantage of increased prices on the 2nd in the series...if it ain't 54'ish, I ain't bitting (not the 1000, but the 9,000). All the best. https://blu176.mail.live.com/defaul...mid=7d76e0c0-b8e6-11e3-bf0d-002264c1d610&fv=1
$59 each... http://www.perthmint.com.au/catalogue/the-australian-stock-horse-2014-1oz-silver-coin.aspx
Not too much of an increase? Just got a couple. Design looks great, but the card seems to be the same as last year. I wonder what the delivery time will be?
All gone!! Till the morning? "the horse has bolted" I would have hated to get up early - 2am here - and not been able to get an order through. They should really put up the whole 1000 release.
those who are in the U.S. can watch Downies web site. they said they will put on some carded horses on the web, so far do not see it yet.
Very nice coin. Kudos to the designers for making the 2nd one look better than the first...hopefully they keep the trend going 8 more times, and they have quite the series. you Australians are luck. I would have bought 20 at the 59.00 price. What a steal.
Congratulations guys, well bought! I am also a fan of the series and have high hopes for it. Being in the US, I will not even try to get the carded version but will have to wait for the other 9,000 to surface. Any word on when those will be made available?
What is the policy of the Perth Mint for pre-sale for the stock horses that I see on eBay? Is that legal?
