I've mentioned this a few times now. This is indeed a series. Confirmed with the dealer who commissioned the product. The new 2014 design is ready and will be issued May 2014.
1000 in this packaging. Means the Aussie packaged coins will be way rarer than the other 9000. Also means there are now only 9000 coins in the other packaging making them instantly rarer and increasing their value amazingly (hope all you flippers and rampers are writing this down). No wonder we've had 17 pages of horse crap so far.
We already knew that there would be 9000 for Europe and 1000 for Australia in blister packs. We knew this before we purchased. I don't think the blister packs will add that much to the value compared to the ones without. To me blister packs just seem annoying and take up so much unnersisary space. This coin in a nice display box would be much nicer then the stupid blister pack. IMO.
Not necessarily true. Perth Mint would be smart enough to keep the best for their home base customers! Before you diss the "stupid" blister packs, take a look at the current prices for carded koalas versus the normal coins.
To me endless ramping just seems annoying and takes up so much unnecessary space. Except when talking about Natural Gold Nuggets and Specimens.
Hahaha so many (dis)information about one coin. There will be series, won't be, will be, won't... like coin, don't like, etc. When somebody who doesn't know forum will come to this (sub)forum by Googling "Australian Stock Horse coin" and found that Stock Horse coin has similar amount of posts as Norfed coins and far less as Tiffany art it would say to himself, man this coin is very popular. Which is of course very good for those who purchased it.
I take it that part of that post was directed at me and I do take offense since it insinuates that somehow I am part of some conspiracy to help WSD and gwako sell these coins. Sure I know of WSD, he is a very active member of the other forum he mentioned - he organizes lots of group buys and most he sets up aren't even with his store. Sure I'm a new member, joined before WSD or the other dealer, not by much... But came here to learn about silver, nothing less nothing more. This particular coin interests me greatly because my 10 year old loves horses, thats all. Now because I liked gwako's post I'm suspect? Notice this is my second post, my first one was to say hi and say i happened to pick up 5 from WSD. I stayed out of all of the drama where others were questioning WSD's honesty et al. I could have chimed in and defended him but did not for the very same reason I'm now being "accused" of.. Yet it perfectly ok for a new member to join yesterday and immediately go on the attack?. Wow great welcome
Well in my opinion the blister pack is just a waste of money for some extra card or plastic. You have to agree that the coin would look nicer displayed in a box rather than in this blister pack? I was happy paying a high premium for this coin as it had limited mintage, I wouldn't be happy paying more premium for one in a blister pack. But that is just my opinion and preference, I understand that some people for some reason may prefer the blister pack version.
Whoa. Hold your horses man. Chillax! If you feel that you've been wrongly accused, then you should have nothing to worry about. Though I stand firm on my comment that all sales should be posted at the Classifieds section of this forum. Only fair for members including the new ones to play by the rules.
Agreed! Maybe they have more value in blister pack, since there are only a '1000.' But the reality for me personally is I have limited space, and I'd much rather have a stack/roll of 20 shrink wrapped tucked away, and put the cards someplace else. Just easier stacking, but I highly doubt that the price will be less on a resale...time will tell.
Limited Mintage of 1000 which instantly makes them 9 times rarer than the un-carded version. Sold out in one day from Perth Mint!!!
