I don't know about this youth in Asia business. They're clever with the computers but we never needed them when we were growing up. And eggs were only thruppence a dozen. Young people these days don't understand.
Is that like that Big Brother show? Can't stand it. Like looking in the neighbour's window all the time. Those young people should get up and about. My mother would give me a good talking to if I slouched on the settee the way they do. ( /troll)
JulieW-Agree Fortitude and Metal can't be taught and is now lost on a lot of the newer generation,in these opulent easy instant gratification times who can blame them for a lack of it(Their parents don't posses so can't pass on this type of intelligence). Words of wisdom fall on deaf ears because they are not currently required. If the shiet really hits the fan with a 1930's scenario, tech skills and hot air can't be traded for practical knowledge and common sense. Well ok maybe their will be a survival forum to help them out a little. On a side note where the hell did all the Police clubs with their gym and boxing equipment disappear to..non existent nowadays and more needed now than ever. REDBACK
Reminds me of my Grandma. Probably has a networth between property and what's in savings to be near a quarter million dollars. She is very greedy though and doesn't help my side of the family because I think my side was adopted and always had troubles. She won't even let family borrow money even if they will pay it back. While its good at teaching independence its extremely greedy as well. Basically taking it to the grave. Or favoring whom to pass it on to. Seen it happen with my Grandpa's money and everyone fighting for it. Makes you not want so called blood money but at the same time have to struggle. Greedy. To me society is funny. Within the same blood family you have different class from middle class to rich all because they older people don't like their kids wife or gf or activities they do. They don't need to die, they need to stop being so dam greedy. You can't take it to the grave. Well maybe you can but why would you want that.
Don't begrudge your/the parents/grandparents a packet of tim tams every now and then - remember the kids probably ate all the choclate biscuits when they were at home!
Agree wholeheartedly Redback. I feel blessed to have been born when I was (despite not appreciating it at the time!), but I have faith that the new skills the young have will make a bearable future. It's the period of tribulation I fear - for all of us. http://www.lifecourse.com/about/method/the-four-turnings.html
Reminds me a LOT of this... or maybe... How disturbingly strange when the real world and fictional worlds blend reality...
Although only related to UN control of life the universe and everything, rather than start a new thread thought I'd just add this here. (I have a feeling someone's already raised this on here previously because I had already heard of it.) http://www.news.com.au/technology/u...-web-kill-switch/story-e6frfro0-1226515006898
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-11-12/internet-ownership/4366508 Australia is not the only country worried. In late September both the US Senate and Congress passed a resolution condemning the proposals, saying they limited freedom of expression in favour of government control. Sharan Burrow from the International Trade Union Confederation has written to UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon urging him to stop the proposals from going ahead. "Frankly a group of countries you wouldn't trust with democratic freedoms or political freedoms - China, Egypt, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia and others - [are] proposing internet restrictions," she said. Surprisingly, Big Brother US didn't like the idea as well. Cheers markcoinoz
I think these adds can't be real ie made by the UN, they must be there to draw attention to Agenda 21.
You may be right, but you'd think if they were anti agenda 21 commercials, they would have some warning message at the end of them. :/
Possibly but it could be smart marketing or anti-marketing. Would be way too early for this type of propaganda if it is real.
They're just planting a subliminal seeds. The thing you remember most is "I've had a good life". So you later on when they start offing the geriatrics you'll say to yourself "At least they had a good life".
