No, the message is that if you're old and have had a good life (like the people in the commercial have) you should allow younger people to have the same chance to have a good life as well by supporting the principles of Local Agenda 21 (sustainable development at grassroots level, etc).

    It's an incredibly bad commercial.

It's hard to be revisionist about history with all these eye witnesses going around

To be honest I can see both sides of the argument. I guess depends whos shoes you're in

Some would say that the 75 mother has done her job and looked after that daugther/son for their first 20 or so years, sacrificed sleep, thousand of dollars and in many cases their own youth just to provide for that child.

If that son/daughter hasn't set themselves up in life by the time they're 45-50, maybe it's their own fault?

However others would say, "you are still their Mother. If you have the money to help them, you should, no matter what age.

But If the daughter/son is going to inherit the home when the mother dies, then surely they can wait.

Problem is, I don't know how many houses will be paid off in full, the way we are going in another 50 years. :/

What gives you the right to make a judgement on any human being?

Do you work for the guvnuts?

What you fail to understand is that older people than you have worked hard all their lives.

Unfortunately, its this mentality that thinks they have some right to inheritance and will stop at nothing to appease
    their appetite for greed.

Why don't you get out and help some of the elderly rather than trying to scheme how to get rid of them?

    Cheers markcoinoz

I think "yes" they should enjoy themselves as I would but stop the moaning and also help out your kids in times of need - they are your blood aren't they??? :) I know the argument could be said that the daughter/son should have sorted themselves out financially however, that case a parent should be there to help out in times of need instead of being selfish. Seems that the parent had a good run and the kid didn't such is life, well then, help them out - plain and simple. Maybe it's because they don't want to be left in the lurch if their money doesn't go the distance (seeing that the older person is living longer and longer nowadays) but alas I reckon they are simply selfish.

Wise old Saying...A man who denies his charity until the day that he dies , is if you weigh it rightly, a giver of nothing for he has nothing left to give.

I give to my sons, fiat and silver and offer my help in any way I can.

They have to battle hard these days, just like many had to do in previous times..

I want to give them a hand while I can.

I have to admit that I have met a lot of greedy ones in my travels..Whinging and moaning about everything and these were Howard's Battlers. :) and Keatings Army.

It is sad to see generations turning on each other..

    Regards Errol 43

A lot of folks are encouraged to spend the inheritance............ I have seen the bumper stickers. I'm sure the Chinese aren't this stupid. I too am building wealth for my sons, in physical asset, (a real) education and knowledge.

My Gran shared the wealth while she was alive, I tried not to take it but now I see where she was headed.

Seems like the whole of society is made up of a bunch of self-serving arseholes. And it's not getting any better.

This is an iconic internet discussion.and they say its real life
Follow the manner of this discussion in real life f2f with a group of people and i guarantee 100% Diplomacy and clear thought would be injected as carefully as an anaesthesiologist.
Some of my Greek baby boomer friends would have smacked Finicky in the side of the head by now.
Human body movement, facial expressions and physical presence are great temperers of attitude.
    Just saying.

Speaking of such, it would be great to have an Australian Silver Stackers conference (party) next year, has it ever been discussed?

Holy mother of turtle heading spaghetti monsters! I only just watched this.

THIS video is a must view in my opinion to better understand the full context of the Agenda 21 implications. F***ers

Start watching the first two minutes and you'll be at the end before you know it.
