...half of what price? The only thing comes to mind that the current snake set is around $350 so this set with lower mintage should worth more

Half of what ever it would sell for ,since the premiums have bee. Dropping lately its really hard to give you a price

With proofs the value is in the packaging & the COA

I've sold 2 of the 3 coin proof 2002 Horse sets in the past 3 or so months. One to a stacker here for $690 and one to some guy in Germany for $720. Those figures include post. And yes without the coa, I wouldnt go near them unless the set was like $150 or so.

Dont know how many goat sets were made but 278 horse sets were made. Horse has been a top premium year in series 1 so a goat wouldnt fetch $600 in my view, perhaps $400 is its value.

A bullion 1/4oz Ox Series 1? I'd say ~ $500. The collectability premium above spot for gold is not the same as silver.

I don't see a problem if a set doesn't have a COA. What is easier to fake, the coin or the COA?
What puts you in prison, to fake the coin or to fake the COA?

Of course if there is a (perceived) difference between for example a coloured ANDA issue with COA and box over the coin itself (which I find a little silly), then the certificate is "worth" a lot.
Sometimes you see certificates being sold on ebay and they usually don't sell at all or for a very low amount. I guess most people who have their proof coins slabbed throw the certificate away and these coins still sell for a lot. Also, many of the old lunar coins don't have the cardboard box anymore. No big deal in my opinion.

If the certificate is really so important and you don't have one, then have your coins graded and slabbed. No big deal. But please don't slab the high value ANDA coins :)

Sorry, I don't understand what you are implying. Do you think a coin is more likely to be stolen when it doesn't have a COA than when it does have one? And that this is the reason a proof coin without COA should be worth less?

Well I can think of one reason...

I've bought proof coins with no COA and box before on here from highly reputable Melbourne members...

Doubt they were stolen, just happened that the proof coins landed on someone who thought Silver is Silver/Gold is Gold and chucked out the fluff or used the COA to wipe their arse ;)

I can think of many reasons why they are missing. I bought some lunar proofs without COAs from reputable coin dealers and I doubt they were stolen. They just store the ceritficates somewhere else, they get misplaced, or get dirty or the paper rots over time. I doubt there will be many COAs left in 1000 years :)
