And there you have it, even our resident socialist understands free markets, I kind get the felling they actually like the free market
Other people call me a socialist. If they become confused because I don't always sound like one, that's due to their misunderstanding rather than me being inconsistent. Like I said, I'm happy to have rules against 100 mills junk being traded here and I'm happy for basic etiquette to dictate that I can't slag off a seller for offering something at a price I think is too high. Those things make the forum better for everyone. Does the fact that the forum is a better place make those "socialist policies" or are they the result of enlightened self-interest?
This is a silly thread besides the more noobies we see mean getting closer to the overdue ignition of silver
I am a newb here and must say i am very pleasant and thankful that I can be a SS member (many thanks to "Lunarowl" who directed me to this forum). I stirred my heavy interest from shares to PM late last year and It have been enjoyable to read various posts from various stackers whether they are information sharing, jokes, or showcases (where i need endlessly to weep my drooling everytime i read 'today i bought ...', and even more after new thread *panda style* kicked in  ). My first purchase cost me dearly (1/4 proof gold tiger and mouse coin from perth mint and a tiger typeset from ebay). Had I done a bit of research, I may have save some $. didnt regret with my first buy though, but this forum, with the help of other fellow stackers, has made my buying decision wiser. Anyway, this is just my personal taste on SS forum. Cheers. Kiky
Where would we be without auspen, who is still bright eyed and bushy tailed, the wise Big AD, hiho tells it as he sees it, Reno the sensible one, Fish always there sharing and caring, butch to lend a hand, no side taken by Napthalene man, errol43, Redback and Bullion Baron always there to guide us through when we need reminding, why we are here. Don't worry no1joey, we are all in this together. You are in the best forum. Regards Maggie And Scorp is really one of the nicest people, he just has bad days : )
Hi, I am new here too .. been reading posts on and off for a month or so and just decided to join myself. I have been doing a little internet browsing re gold and silver bullion over the past few months, so hopefully I don't say anything too silly on the threads. My first PM purchase was 2012 Kookaburras - Lucky enough to pick up some coins for $40 each after the Perth Mint had sold out .. not sure if I paid too much (and not sure I want to hear peoples opinions on that LOL). I too have noticed some of the ebay pricing madness - the worst being someone who bid $34 for a 10g silver bar. Sadly there seems to be lots of people offering bullion at significant markups to dealer prices. But then again, there are people who are willing to pay those prices. Go figure. Anyway just wanted to say hi .. and no doubt see you around the forums.
I asked all of the annoying questions when I first came here. I am glad I did and grateful for those who answered. Many of you are missing the point of an internet forum entirely. Even the 'dumb' or 'noob' questions still give you an opportunity to share the info that you have AND give you something to post about! If you don't like something, don't post and move along. For those that DO post, good on you! Internet forums are a great place to learn and teach. No complaining required.
It's funny how every forum no matter what subject matter you go on, there will always be those that help those that wont. I am very new to SS and have found it to be just like any oter forum. It has it share of all types. And gee come on if we all agreed on everything what would there be to learn? From what I have seen it is a great place to trade your metals on and learn something while doing it. Is this not why we are all on here for?
