    Well, these guys are good.
They've either got deep pockets or a lot of influence with other crypto-gamblers (probably both).
They gave a good heads up before time and have been plugging away at NMC for the last 1.5 hours, posting steady gains.

Pump and Dump Together team did very well last night.
They took Name Coin from $7 to around $13 at its peak - they really stuck at it for several hours, told people to sell to a lower price point and then re-pumped.
They don't speak perfect English, and at the time they were most active I suspect they're Chinese.
And it's not like Name Coin is a small market, either. Still, they were able to rally enough people to make a good pump.

Funny thing is, when Name Coin got past a certain price, it took on a trading life of its own.
In fact, it's still up around $11, a $4 increase since yesterday based only on the pump and support around that level seems to be holding.
But I suppose speculators have now jumped in, maybe many not realising what caused the price spike.

Even Forbes Magazine has observed this today:

"Namecoin, with the fourth-largest market cap, is up 70% in the past 24 hours."

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/timwors...re-well-into-south-sea-bubble-territory-here/

Next time the Pump and Dump Together team announce a pump, I may throw in a few hundred dollars! Just need not to be too greedy and jump before the dump.

I dumped 1400 FTCs at the last "pump".
Can't complain, still made a profit.

At the moment, it really looks like if you hold any of the smaller alts in the medium term (and by medium term a mean a WEEK - ha), you'll make a profit through your speculation.

Yep, it looks that way. Just got to pick the time to sell.

I generally setup sell/ buy orders before I go to bed anyway

When you can pick anything and you know it will rise, you know you're in a bubble.

The problem is the Chinese are just too crazy.
They're flushed with cash and burning for ways to offload it, especially if they can push it overseas.
They've just discovered digital currencies and the charts are going up at 80 degrees.

With a market as small of digital currencies, I just don't know if this is rampant speculation or if the Chinese are pushing digital currencies to price discovery.
AT the moment, BTC and the others are an excellent way to get out of USD.
Because digital currencies have several advantages over gold:

    1) You don't have to carry them through your hand luggage in customs
    2) It's not regulated yet so tax avoidance opportunities abound
    3) They're not being smacked down every week by the COMEX and/or agents of the Chinese Ministry of Finance (hard to short sell a digital currency at this time, but possible)

So yeah - we're in a bubble, but I think it could be bigger than any of us can imagine.
We all know that the monetary situation in the world is insane but gold has never been able to express this (due to speculation, deflationary forces or whatever).
Maybe digital alts are doing the expressing (boosted by a healthy dose of computer geek speculators?)

Pump and Dump Team current pumping PPC and...LTC.
These guys are hardcore! You can already see upswings in both currencies.
If anyone is in a gambling mood, take out some PPC.

I decided this morning to set myself up for a large buy order for 500LTC at 0.0269, been 3 hours now on my transfer of BTC into BTC-e to fund the trade and still only at 8 peers. Longest transfer I have ever had for BTC, pissing me off royal as I would have got filled and now I have missed the trade, it will probably take me the rest of the day just to get my BTC transferred back to me again at this rate.

I can only assume now that larger transfers take longer to authenticate?

I know what you mean, but from another angle.
I placed $2000 with two separate exchanges two days ago and nothing in my trading accounts yet.
Once you've got some BTC, you can start trading around, but getting money into the system is slow and inefficient.

Wow, 2 days would be stressful, I don't even like leaving anything in an exchange for more than 24hrs

I wanted to catch that namecoin surge. It took me so long to install it and do the blockchain I missed the whole thing. Then I wake up this morning and sent it immediately to an exchange.....But guess what? The default fee in the namecoin client is 0.0...grrr.

Yeah, it's been pissing me off the amount of time to get between exchanges.

I wouldn't bother if you need it 'quick'

I think I just keep picking the wrong currencies.

Might just sit in LTC until it picks back up now.
