This just confirms my idea that there was no crucial difference. They both, Russians and Australians, were the faithful subjects. Their kings just were of different names. That's all. What was important psychologically was the loyal subject's attitude towards the king, or the queen, as a god/goddess. :D

I hope I am not offending somebody's loyal feelings.

I dont see this being an issue in Australia though.
If ever there was a country that was "designed" for stashing PMs then Australia would be that place! The chances of somebody finding any given remote spot - without inside information - is about zero.

so Sparrow - i for one dont think your idea is that crazy...

If our socialist government ever decides to order all its citizens to "hand in" their bullion for the "greater good" you can be sure that their goon squads will be digging up people's minute little plots with ease, so hiding it on your own property wouldnt help much.

Hiding it out in the middle of nowhere... now THAT would be one way of ensuring that the government goons dont get their thieving paws on it!

As I've said I think this time they will do it through the "sanatorium" way. Much more efficient.

By the way as I understand it Australia is a very suitable for reeducation camps place. Similar to Russia in this respect too. Just a little warmer. ;)

Whats wrong with it is thats the second place the government would look once they confiscate. it happened in the good old US before and it will happen again.

Actually i think he may be from Russia. but even if he is from the US, it wouldnt matter - he seems pretty clued up.
If you think Australia is in any way different from the US wrt the important stuff then you're sadly mistaken.
If there is any difference at all then its perhaps that the sheeple:total population ratio is a little higher here! Perhaps the result of being brought up in a nanny state.
At least there are many people in the US who still have some fond memories of what its like to live in a country where individuals were relatively free from government interference.
Alas - those days are now long gone.
Downunda i dont believe there was EVER a time where people could live in freedom without the interference of statists and beaurocrats...

I think you're really kidding yourself!! The only thing that the Australian government DOES REALLY EXCEL AT is the theft of private property via taxation...
They (ATO) are very very good at it... and getting better by the day...

I missed this excellent post earlier. My general opinion of government departments is that they couldn't organise a farting contest in the Heinz factory. I do enough work with them to know

Are people even aware of the original reasoning behind the 1933 Executive Order 6102? It wouldn't have been necessary if the US wasn't on a gold standard at the time. Last time I checked, they hadn't been on one since 1971.

Lets not only blame the Governments and Taxation !
The banks and the financial system is equally to be blamed!

They are just pages of the same sheet, and we are now entering the phase where
the banks are daggering the governments all over the world, so that only they rule.

If 'IT' truly happened, a military state would be imposed. The military is far more organized and would be able to go door to door and throw all your shiny shiny's in the back of a huge dump truck, while possibly giving you MRE's in return.

I believe the US will go back to a gold standard. It will probably come at a time thats too far too late, but they will try. A few states are considering it, and I believe Utah already has. Hell, the US may use that as an excuse to get all your gold, claiming they don't have enough to cover their paper assets.

Am I paranoid? No, I'm open-minded. I believe all options exist and anything possible can happen. The current fight in Libya may trigger WWIII. Then again, it may not. Who knows?

Are you implying here that just because no one is on a gold standard now there is no rational reason to be afraid of a PM confiscation?

If yes, please, consider an important detail that there indeed will be no reason for a confiscation BEFORE global monetary fiat cabal collapse.

But what about AFTER it? Have you asked yourself why have you bought PM? Expecting expansion and flourishing of this English abomination beast forever or its sudden death?

I am in PM expecting its death! Otherwise why would I be invested in a stuff price if which has been manipulated almost forever?
Do I sound like a stupid one? I honestly doubt it!

SoOOOOO. Why would I be building my strategy without considering what could reasonably happen AFTER the collapse of the abomination?
    Am I a stupid?!! Come on!!! :)

    Just equally?!!!

The Western governments, all of them, are simply tentacles of this global abominable banking English fiat cabal. Their taxes is just a deadly poison which those tentacles exude destroying everything free and noble. Instead fostering everything dumb and inept.

The Governments are just filthy prostitutes, no offense to the honest hard working sex workers intended, who would sell their mothers for money, power and prostitutes. :D
