    Bernankes own words regarding deflation, at any cost he will not allow deflationary environments. So it begs the question with the QE being a high succes in avoiding this :lol:, what will be the Fed chairmans next move?

    Next step = middle-class wealth confiscation and redistribution.

    Big super yacht to international waters, with occasional visit to non-extradition countries.

    QE 4...3 or 4 trillion $ should set the inflation wagon in motion..Then it will be a lot easier to pay back that $16,000,000,000,000.

    More Taxes from higher wages will ease the repayment burden.

    Only problem will be higher interest rates!

    Print more US $ is the only way to pay down that debt.

    Regards Errol 43

    Therefore to paraphrase Bernanke;

    "I will do anything to stop deflation, even if it means destroying the economy"

    Retirement. He'll be retiring soon.

    The Fed will carry on without him though. Whether the speculation that they were the impetus for the 400 ton sale that sparked the smash in gold futures is true or not, they are already capitalizing on the event claiming signs of deflation as justification for continuing the QE (forget all that exit talk you heard a few weeks ago).
