    another good one is jdownloader. just copy a link and itll automatically search it for anything downloadable, like pics in a forum thread, youtube vids, etc. used to use it for downloading things from places like rapidshare and mediafire and all that stuff before they all got shut down.

    There are a number of almost invisible options that don't have a GUI like the one above. Some include convertors if you want to rip a music vid to mp3 from the flv files.

    FlashGot is a great one. it automatically detects the links and allows you to download anything with one simple click.

    I've been playing around with wondershare. Seems to be quite flexible as well.
