    Been thinking this myself as the euro crisis unfolds. I was interested to read that he thinks the ECB can do QE if it wanted to.

    Sounds like a good 'hit' piece on Germany. Make the Germans out to be the bad guys.

    Why should Germany have to suffer high inflation because of the financial mismanagement of the other countries.

    Myself I think the big cutbacks on the fiscal side by a lot of the eu countries needs to be balanced out by some monetary easing though. Otherwise you get a downward spiral happened as cutback cut growth and revenues. You budget for a target of some kind only to find the economy has declined and shifted the goal posts on you.
