Hi All, Has anyone bought this monster?? I think I have to have one. WOW.....enjoy the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM4lyJdCO_E&feature=related
The video wouldnt load for me, as my nets been shiiiiit in my camp for the last week. If this is the 10kg lunar dragon coin, which i assume it is.... i was thinking bout grabbing 1 of these beasts a bout a month ago.. but the premium seems pretty how compared to the 100oz bars i just stack. Price wise i was losing about 70-80oz for the similar costs, althought they look so beautiful, in the end its just a lump of metal lol
Hi, The video loads fine for me. I would love for you to see it. I can't find a price anywhere. Thanks for the responses..... Have a great day.
Like GP said, a few sold recently here on the forums. http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-26883-lunar-porn.html You can still get them, bit pricey though: https://www.kjc-gold-silver-bullion.com.au/CT/silver-lunar-coins/19
Gainsville coins is about the cheapest I could find them @ $10/oz over spot. http://www.gainesvillecoins.com/pro...ilver-perth-mint-year-of-the-dragon-coin.aspx Don't know if they ship to Australia or not.
I want one so bad.....this is a good price. Thanks for all the help guys.. I wonder in 5 yeas if it will be able to buy me a new car?? heeheh
ahhh ok.... yea man i was talking bout this year (2012) coin, which features the dragon http://www.perthmintbullion.com/au/Buy-Silver-Coins/10kg.aspx?size=28 thats what i was looking at anyways...
The 10 kilo rabbit is stunning and it's not just a hunk of metal as one forum member ignorantly suggested. I am one who gives credit where credit is due and the Perth Mint has done an amazing job with this coin and the whole series. From what I understand, many hours go into polishing the coin after the initial slab of silver is poured and made, weighed, processed, and inspected. That's a hell of a lot of work for a single coin IMHO. Compared to most other coins, the 10 kilo coin has more labor invested in it than other coins. A couple of months ago, this coin was offered for less than $16,000 here: http://www.apmex.com/Product/59136/...ilver_Australian_Year_of_the_Rabbit_Coin.aspx Of course that's a lot of money for most of us but it's a better price than anywhere else I'm aware of and unlike the 1 kilo coin, minting on the 10 kilo ceased at the end of 2011 from what I understand. Only 173 of these pure silver works of art exist.
Due to its size its actually less collectable I think, which is what makes it more like stackable metal. But it depends on your focus, as many of us just want the silver not the numismatics. I have seen some of these 10kg coins up close and I don't think they are that well finished.
