    Wow - One Gigantic Paper Bubble :/ and still being pumped up :/

    I think that HUGE number is 4 x times the debt pre GFC :rolleyes:

    When this bubble burst the financial back blast (bbda) with - Rock Your World :lol:

    Some are saying a potential 70% fall in the share market.

    When could this happen - 1st thing tomorrow when the markets open.

    We are living in the most "interesting" of times - enjoy the the ride if you can :cool:

    Question is who will end up getting screwed, the borrower or the lender ?

    Debt and asset creation don't go up (or down) in a linear fashion. The amount of complexity in our financial system due to things like derivatives and CDOs means that the chance of unwinding all the debts in reverse order that they were taken on is guaranteed to be impossible.

    If it's just Charlie repaying a $10 loan to Bob and Bob repaying a $10 loan to Alice, it probably wouldn't be an issue. When Alice getting her cash back depends on Zach repaying Yvonne repaying Xena repaying William...it's not so easy.
